Oh my. The wild thing about this is that Rendon has to be one of the most laid back, least emotional players I've ever seen. To the point I've been known to question how much he really even cares or tries. Seems like the slightest little soreness puts him on the IL for months at a time, but the thing is, it usually results in a surgery so that's pretty good proof that they are real injuries. Perhaps that rep for being soft is what the fan was pointing out.

Now he's gonna be suspended for a while, and the nominal backup Brandon Drury was already in the starting lineup at 1B due to the starter there, Jared Walsh, starting the season on the IL for a mysterious condition described as "headaches and insomnia". The Angels find a new way each season to become a trainwreck and it comes earlier in the season each year it seems like.

They didn't waste Mike Trout though. Angel fans have been able to watch him his whole career. That's not nothing.

How do you see stuff like that?

Angel fans call Anthony Rendon "Anthony Tendon" and "Anthony Rendone". He's far more beloved in DC than Anaheim, much as Pujols is far better liked in St Louis than Anaheim.

I don't know what his deal was with this - the Angels were on the road, in Oakland California no less! I would imagine you get called a bitch even by the people working at the hotel you're staying at there. Oakland isn't known for its gentility, and that's a division rival the Angels have been trading blows with since 2002, the season in which the A's had that long winning streak that resulted in a best-selling book and award-winning movie about them....but the year the Angels won the World Series, not them.

It’s hilarious reading all of the comments that the fan just got what he deserved. I love that people act like there was some sort of era that it was OK to just assault people for name calling. If you can’t handle being called a bitch by a random stranger, chances are you’re a bitch.
