Arthur and Bryce Brown perhaps?

That's them. They were very talented. I saw several of their games as my kids were in HS at the same time. Bryce ran so many 70-80 yard TDs. Once he was through the line no one was catching him - and he could carry 2 or 3 tacklers another 8 yards. Arthur was fast too, I saw him run from the middle of the defensive line around the end and behind the O-line to sack the QB.

But, already in HS, Bryce especially had people whispering in his ear about how great he was and ruined his potential. I think the parents kind of farmed out the boys representation to some would-be promoter and it did not go great. Bryce ended up bouncing around a couple colleges and fizzled in the end.

I met mike bell in houston watching the chiefs play the oliers. Very good dude. Also **** Todd Blackledge didn't want to give me a autograph. But paul palmer gave me one!

They were both stud athletes. You are right in everything you said about Bryce. He had people in his ear early and often. He had special talent but not the drive and work ethic to be great. It was a shame to see that talent go unrealized.

I always wonder what guys do post-football when they weren't huge stars in the NFL. It seems like Bryce has his head on straight now.

This doesn’t ring a bell.

Thanks for that article. It is good to see he is doing well in life after football.
