Tomlinson vs Alworth is a tough one for me

For the AFL era Chiefs, I’d argue Bobby Bell (voted 1st team all-pro five consecutive years) over Willie Lanier. I think many people would take DT over both.

Lanier is the right pick. He anchored what is arguably the best defense in Chiefs' history. He gets it over DT because he won a Superbowl.

Lanier is a reasonable choice.

That ‘69 defense was sick. With 2 HoFers at every level.

Well, reerun, Brady isn’t in the hall of fame so doesn’t qualify. Faulk had about 3 good seasons, DT never won shit (and by your qualifier of not even needing to be in the Hall of Fame it’s clearly Mahomes anyway), and I don’t know how you argue to greatest WR of all time beating out Montana.
