But I'd prefer to be a contender for the Super Bowl EVERY year.

Let's convince this defense to stick together and do a better job of identifying young playmakers on offense.

By "max cap" I also meant we max out our ability to restructure/extend players. Ultimately, I think my mock offseason is unrealistic because I made too many transactions. Asking x3 star offensive players to restructure in order to pay x3 star defensive players and a vet WR is a lot of work for one offseason.

1. Keep top 5 defense together
2. Upgrade the WR core
3. Prep the OL for turnover/savings

I'm all for cutting MVS.

I think you can replace/upgrade him with Mooney, and at better or equal money.

If you sign Jonesy, you'll have to let Sneed walk, probably Gay as well.

I don't know that I wouldn't, as We still have a stacked LB corps if you re-sign Tranquill, and a stacked secondary even without Sneed.

I'd probably do it.

Sucks to have such a good D but key members at each level up for FA this offseason.

I agree...gotta keep Chris Jones, Gay becomes expendable bc our LB core is stacked, and Sneed probably prices himself out of KC.

Would be great to see some Veach magic at work and we keep 2/3, if not 3/3. For certain I'd drop MVS to keep Sneed.

We definitely don't have a 6th?

Not unless the reported compensation for the trade for Neil Farrell is completely wrong.

If Guyton isn't there I'm letting Gay walk and nabbing

RD4. ILB Junior Colson, Michigan, 6-3, 247, 4.58, 95% Tackling

-Rangy, Excellent Block Shedder, Physical, Regularly Disruptive in Backfield, Violent and Consistent Tackler, Good Speed & Closing Burst, Aggressive.

Guyton isn't even starting for OU anymore. He went out with an injury. OU liked the guy that replaced him better. Guyton is healthy. He didn't take his spot back.

Interesting! So he might be available later in the draft as an injury concern and/or developmental swing tackle type... that'd be nice.

Great effort.

I like Marqise Brown. Seems like a very Chiefs move. Ok with the double dip at WR in the draft, too, though id go somewhere other than Legette.

It's ****ing stupid to release Skyy Moore when he's on a rookie contract. Jesus, if he is your #3 or #4 WR you are printing money.

Edited to let RT D. Smith go and pick up WR M Brown. I'll let Niang, Morris, Guyton, & Nelson compete for RT and push Taylor for LT.

Watch that highlight of Guyton, he's crazy fast and would make a great swing tackle.

Brown is our new Hill,
R. Rice is our new JuJu,
Legette is our DK Metcalf,
B. Rice is our new MVS,
Wright is our new McKinnon.

DK looked pretty good last night! lol Damn! What could have been.

I threw him in there bc I couldn't gain any cap space by letting Toney go.

My emotions got the best of me lol

Saw this on the ESPN mock today:

15. Los Angeles Rams (6-7)
Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

The Rams might have found a left tackle of the future with Alaric Jackson, but the right side has been an issue this season with Rob Havenstein manning the position. Guyton -- a raw but highly mobile blocker -- is my pick for who will be the position's biggest riser during the pre-draft process. The former defensive lineman is still learning to play offensive tackle, but his agility in space as a run-blocker is fantastic, and his length in pass protection is ideal for a rookie starter.

That's Guyton in the 1st round, going #15, holy hell he's all over the board.

It wouldn't be altogether shocking, depending on what we do in free agency, to see the Chiefs keep Donovan Smith and draft a guy who needs some coaching like Guyton.
