I think you need to be "the one" who officially is our new "George"(gblowfish) for "The ten things about today's game" post-game write up. What say you???

I’m feeling confident.
The Raiders came out firing and with a lot of confidence. Dominated that first quarter while the Chiefs were a lot flat (and out game-planned initially on D). KC adjusted in a major way and the Raiders had no answer. And that’s a team that has been playing well on D and had a strong game against the freaking Dolphins last week. Hopefully this is a progression moment for how they use Rice and Moore moving forward. I love Rice’s ability on those crossing routes. It’s a good way to shake him free on man, as is the back shoulder throw. Mahomes looked confident and decisive. Kelce looked healthy. D adjusted and played a really strong second half. A little adversity at mid season before they hit the home stretch is OK by me. Keep protecting the football, keep catching the football, keep relying on run game power in short yardage, keep leaning into 12 sets, and I think they cruise down the back stretch and hit stride for the playoffs. |

Feeling good.
Really impressed by Sneed's ability to adjust and forget about the previous play. CEH seemed to have a little more spark than I've seen in a long time. Not suggesting him as a long term solution, but doesn't hurt to have an extra RB capable of running the ball. In short yardage Chiefs ran Pacheco behind the best interior Oline in thge NFL. Keep doing that. Would feel even better if Chiefs had gone to hurry-up when Crosby went in the game so he would not be able to sub-out, then repeatedly run to his side with a center and guard pulling.....not a game winning strategy, would just like to see Crosby get repeatedly buldozed. |
I feel like I'm going to go plow my fiancé and then go to bed!

Much, much better! Rice and Pacheco as well as Kelce looked terrific today! Need the Chargers to beat the Ravens to make the week complete! Go Chargers!:thumb:

The gear.
It lives. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Before today, only once in their history had the Chiefs trailed by at least 14 and gone on to win by at least 14.<br><br>And you know which one it was. <a href="https://t.co/4U58DQQmeG">pic.twitter.com/4U58DQQmeG</a></p>— Kurtis Seaboldt (@KSeaboldt) <a href="https://twitter.com/KSeaboldt/status/1728964041937428956?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 27, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
I mentioned it in the WR thread, but I feel like we saw some 'playoff Chiefs'.... the obvious thing about the receivers that people have complained about is the rotation, and that clearly wasn't going to continue going into the playoffs.
It's frustrating for us to watch, but whether it's saving players, not giving teams too much to watch, whatever... they were going to eventually do what everyone thought they should be doing. I'm curious what happened on the sidelines today. It wasn't just that they started going to Kelce and Rice, and it wasn't that Mahomes came into the game dialed in.... but, he got dialed in. They very quickly got some swagger back that we hadn't seen lately. Defensively... maybe they were a bit gassed from last week as well as they played in that game, but the Raiders dude was making passes and they have some guys who can catch it. Overall..... definitely satisfying to see them get into sync on offense. As much as you might say "they'll be fine" and have that confidence, it's always good to see the potential for yourself, even against a sub-500 team. Wouldn't say this game moved the needle a ton for me... not like last week's defensive effort. Glad they un-****ed themselves after being down 14-0 though. |

I've been saying all season fix the drops and turnovers and the chiefs are unstoppable (a hot take from a brilliant football mind for sure) and that's what they did so I'm pretty happy. I think they'll build on it too. Chiefs are getting real good at the right time

Raiders came out strong. I think the interim coach went beta when not going for it on 4th and 1 in the red zone when they had all the momentum. If you are an interim coach, against KC….you have to go big while you have the momentum. He pussed out and settled for a FG and the miss was just the icing of a failed call.
Crosby was a shell of himself today and shoulldbt have played after KC took the lead and had taken over the game. Raiders interim coaches aren’t the long term answer so they will need to clean house yet again. Aiden OConnell had a few fantastic dimes but otherwise has zero mobility and the game is still too fast for him. Likely a career backup. KC looked fine and Pacheco runs violently which I like. Raiders played soft zone and KC threw soft stuff underneath all day and the Raiders did t adapt. I still think you guys need a real receiver threat especially deep to solidify the offense. Today Pacheco and Kelce was enough but the Raiders still suck and a lower tier team. Better teams will keep you guys close |

It seemed both the Chiefs and Eagles started real slow after the big game last MNF. Not sure if that was the reason but a possibility to consider. Once the Chiefs got their footing they dominated despite some strange playcalls and penalties still popping up. Wanted to see them punch it in 1st and goal from the 5 and not a FG but at least we got the win and positive momentum. |
