You know what's even better than trick plays at the goal line? Letting those giant IOL MFers just line up and maul some guys and run it behind them.

The high school probably got the play from the same single wing playbook.

Lots of high schools still run the single wing. It is a fun and easy formation to use at that level.

Cool play, he could have kept the ball and optioned the contain guy by pitching to mahomes then going out about 2 yards for a toss over containment, or mahomes run to paydirt. Crazy play.

The bobble may have helped.

I think that's partially why 23 froze. He saw the bobble and thought he might have a fumble recover and possible TD on his hands. If that ball hits the ground, he probably does.

I don't think that play worked quite as well as King thinks it does. I'd be pretty content if that's the last we see of it.
