Considering Hardman's propensity to make a mistake as well, think i'd rather have Toney out there.

As long as he's not lining up as WR i don't have too much of an issue with this. Just something for him to do.

I think it's smart to keep their options open - never know what might transpire in terms of injuries or whatever to where they need him.

This makes the 49ers have to prepare for him at least.

9er's special teams prep:

"Looks like Toney might play"

Might as well expect a 10 yard loss punt return, muffed punt, and fair catches inside the 5.

Maybe they plan on re-mixing one of Toney's rap releases, so that it doesn't suck so bad.

wachashi 02-02-2024 03:14 PM

I'm sure most Niner fans would love for Toney to play.

Couch-Potato 02-02-2024 03:41 PM

How likely do you think it is that we call the same play where Kelce catches the ball and throws it to a WR for a touchdown in the Super Bowl? ...Feels, very likely to me lol

I screamed like no other when I saw Mecole going in motion near the goal line last weekend. I think it was him anyway

I mean he arguably had the biggest play in SB 57...

Yeah, Toney still sucks.. but Hardman has replaced him on the top of the shit list for now. They should both be gone after this year though.

Not me. I don't want either.

You'll get Toney and like it...

Again, I trust Reid to make the right decision. He's made some bold decisions on inactives for past Superbowls. If he thinks a player can help him win, they will be active, if not, they won't.

This seems more like a Toub call since he's the one commenting on Toney being in the mix as a punt returner
