I admittedly do not know much about eating balls.

Never had pig but have bull and turkey fries. Both are awesome. Won't vouch for those, but nuts are nuts.

Slice eighth of and inch thick, bread and deep fry.

Like them with BBQ dipping sauce myself.

And stay close to a can.

Dirt, if they're fresh.

I heard Bob's Bar in Martinsburg used to have the best Rocky Mountain Oysters or maybe it was just one of the only places in the greater Sioux City area that served fried balls.

Hmmm. Before my time I guess. Not since the 90's, at least that I know of. Maybe an event but not on the menu that I have known.

Bob's bar. Been too long. YUGE burgers and fried portions of all kinds. And cheap.

Pro tip: Go fall to spring. Not summer. Less flies. And be sure to wash your hands coming out of the bathroom. The sink is outside the restrooms, not inside.

Ask Bugeater - he knows

Great advice here: KNOW YOUR TYPE OF OYSTERS.

This thread took a lot of balls to start.

Most likely ate some mixed in with my hot dog at some point but never went directly to the source.

I’ve only tried turkey fries.
But when we cut hogs, we just yanked the nuts out and threw them on the ground.
There was always an old man named booger Darnell, that would walk around with a bucket full of ice, picking up the nuts to take home. Never would help us though.

I’ve cut lots of hogs and bulls both eat great , if you didn’t know what they were you’d love them . If they get to big they get tough an chewy the younger the more tender..Don’t mess with fowl I don’t know nothing about turkeys but everyone says they’re great. We can buy bull calves cheaper than steers so we always have nuts in the freezer. You half to have them semi frozen to slice or they get to mushy.also you want them cooked but not over cooked, lightly breaded with saltine crackers is what we prefer for breading.

We called that "Running the Nut Bucket" during brandings. I never ate any - but those that did ate them breaded and fried.

Good name
Wasn’t worth a shit to work with, always getting in your way bending over picking up a dirty nut. Always drank milwaukees best, cause he figured no one would ever ask for one from him.
Smelled funny too now that I think about it.
