With all the hate they're getting, would any of us be shocked at a 14+ point blowout?

They may be getting hate from the smart money, but I’ve seen more NFL talking heads picking the Chiefs and it’s not particularly close.

I think the Niners jump out to a lead. Shanahan is a great run game designer and he finds ways to use McCaffrey and Samuel to gash us. We go into half time down by a score. Our offense keeps pace, but the Niners get more possessions than us. They are riding high going into halftime with a score of 20-13

And then Spags adjusts. We come out and put up a TD to tie it. It's back and forth with both defenses shining through the 3rd and early 4th quarter. Mahomes is sacked a few times to kill drives, the Chiefs force a red zone fumble slowing the Niners push. Punts, punts, and more punts. Purdy plays admirably but the pressure mounts and Trent McDuffie gets his first ever INT...a Pick 6. Chiefs by 7. The Niners get the ball back with 7 minutes to play, a make or break drive.

The Niners are driving on a few chunk plays, crossing the 50 with just under 5 minutes to go. The Chiefs get a first down stop on a run play and then a sack on second down. Purdy under heavy pressure from a free blitzer (Sneed) throws another pick to Mike Edwards.

The Chiefs run a brilliant 4 minute clock killing drive ending with a 45+ yard field goal and less than a minute to play.

On the ensuring possession, Chris Jones bats a pass, and then Karlaftis gets a sack on 2nd down. The Niners, out of time outs clock the ball. On 4th down, Purdy has no one to throw to and under immense pressure from the rush scrambles and slides for a first down. But the clock runs out and Brock Purdy turns back into a pumpkin.

Chiefs win 30-20. Travis Kelce catches 8 passes for 105 and a TD against really good coverage from the 49ers Linebackers and wins MVP. Taylor Swift comes onto the field afterward and grouchy old people and non Chiefs fans lose their minds.

Chiefs in a blowout.

Not because I think the Chiefs are much better, but because of the level of complaining the 49ers have done unprecedentedly before this game. I think it's going to piss Reid and co off.

I got KC winning a nail biter, 35-0!!!!!

Red Dawg 02-06-2024 08:31 AM

We win. NFL won't let the Swifties lose.

At first I thought it would be a close game, like 28-24. The more and more I hear about the teams and also the whining by SF, the more I think it might be a little more of a comfortable win, like 27-14.

That could be a SB record for weirdest score ever :)

I am pretty confident the Chiefs win. McCaffrey going ham is about the only path I see for the 49ers. Every other way, the Chiefs are superior, in the locker room and on the field.

It's going to be close to the Ravens game, I think. The scoreboard will say the Chiefs win by a score, but I think the Chiefs will largely control this game after Shanahan empties his initial clip by the end of the first quarter. 49ers make a late score to make it look like we won by a score, but that's it.

I feel oddly confident in this game. I was far more worried about the Bills and Ravens than I am about the 9ers. Guess we'll see.

Madden has us winning 30-28 per NFLN

Butker misses an extra point. Rice and Kelce have a big game. Mcduffie with an int

McCaffrey comes out of the closet that he's gay

Purdy starts slow as he has done these past couple of games, The Andy Reid script results in a long 9-10 play scoring drive that sets the tone for the rest of the night.

KC defense stifles Cmac, placing all the pressure on Purdy to make throws under intense pressure, and he cannot answer.

Mahomes will lead methodical drives down the field, controlling time of possession to further remove the run game from the 49ers options.

Chiefs take this one 24-10.

I see the 49'ers leading by three at the half. Due to some halftime adjustments and the 49'ers DBs getting gassed from playing more man coverage than they are used to, we pull away in the 2nd half.

KC 31
SF 24
