The Chiefs defense from Super Bowl IV has Buchanan, Culp, Bell, Lanier, Thomas and Robinson in the HOF. 6 of the starting 11. Offense only has Dawson. Otis Taylor made Dawson who he was as a QB. He should have been in 20 years ago. Tyrer was every bit as good as Gene Upshaw. He had CTE before anybody knew what that was. There's a documentary coming out about his life. His son has forgiven him -the kids were in the house when this happened- and his wife's family has forgiven him too. His brain was scrambled and he did something unspeakable. OJ remains in Canton despite what he did. I think there's enough understanding of the injury Tyrer suffered to allow him in Canton. He played at Ohio State, so he's an Ohio guy, where the Hall is located. I hope he makes it.

He gave me and others Trophies for Pee Wee football in Raytown. Lamar was big on players giving back to the community.
