We've been able to make the IOL work just fine with pretty fungible talents.

Thuney's a big dead money blow if we cut him BUT it's still a $16 million savings. As good as he is, that HAS to be on the table.

The Chiefs, IMO, have gotten a little too loosy goosy with positional value. They've spend too much time ignoring it over the last few years. Paying a rotational player like Danna who's not a rotational RUSHER is indicative of kinda losing the plot when it comes to savvy allocation of resources.

We just need to be a little more aware of WHERE we spend the money instead of just focusing on who we spend it on.

It's true, we have gotten loose on positional value and how we gave money to undervalued positions.

According to someone, PFF maybe, Patrick Mahomes was pressured on over 50% of his drop backs. Where did that come from? Were alot of those his own fault?

Extend Thuney a couple of years to lower the 2025 cap hit.
Slide Caliendo to RG in 2025
Draft another LT/RT in the Draft to have another option
Schwartz says Kingsley is an LT, period and they just need to keep working w/ him. This seems to be the best plan for him in the short term.
That said, we also need o give Taylor some looks at LT in TC to expand the options in 2025

They were bringing guys all game. That used to be a recipe for disaster for the defense, but now it's really not. Receivers need to read the blitz, get open, and Pat needs to hit them.

If Thuney wants to keep playing, I think you extend him at this point so long as its team friendly deal

Half of the guys you listed likely won't even be in the league in 3 years

He'll be an ERFA in 2025, we'll be bringing him back no doubt.

LFG Mike!

Chiefs relying on undrafted guard in quest for Super Bowl three-peat: Who is Mike Caliendo?

NEW ORLEANS -- The Kansas City Chiefs moving All-Pro guard Joe Thuney out to left tackle to plug the struggles on the outside has received plenty of attention ahead of Super Bowl LIX versus the Philadelphia Eagles. Less notice has gone to the man who replaced Thuney.

Who is Mike Caliendo?

Spoiler!

This is ironic considering he got mauled by Phillips on the second to last drive. It was brutal timing and it put the game in doubt with us only able to come away with a FG.

With how good the interior of the Eagle's DL is it is encouraging news.

Andy’s Chiefs have always been decent at developing these unsung fatties. Not the most talented guys, but work in a pinch.

smooth brains wanted Andy to run more LMAO

Dude sucks ****ing shit. Should not be on an NFL roster, or at the very least should damn sure never be seeing the field in a Super Bowl unless someone literally dies on the sideline. Another massive miscalculation with this turd, he is utter garbage.

Trey was absolutely stunned on that pull. Unbelievable

Those of us that wanted Humphries at LT and Thuney back at LG were proven somewhat correct last night.

May not have been much better but couldn't have been worse.
