Self has impressed me with his recruiting. Even if he doesn't get all of them, he sure has recruited the best of the best out there. It looks like the next couple of years are going to be incredible. Rock Chalk Jayhawk

Good god. What a recruiting haul. Only problem I see if if the entire class for 2005 decides to go pro... and they could.

Let's hope that Self can use the talent properly, and they all stay long enough to show results.

On the Arizona board he's been a pretty good target of Lute's. As I understand it, he's not a SG/SF. He's a F. But with Luke Walton skills and a pass first mentality.

That he's not much of a shooter (as yet), but is a great playmaker and all around player.

I've also heard that he never actually visited KU's campus, which if true makes me wonder about the report. That's not very common for a top flight recruit to commit without a visit.

If it's true, how would this affect the recruitment of CJ Miles?

That's two years of great recruiting for Self. In the Williams era, it seemed like it went every other year. If Self can keep this up, maybe he can break another trend from the Williams era: 16 years without an NCAA Championship.

Self was recruiting him when he was still coach at Illinois, longer than UA had.

Apparently, when Self went to KU they both changed priorities but kept in touch. After Wright went to UA and UI and still wasn't impressed his mom called Self. Self came for an in home visit. The rest is super freakin' awesome history.

I don't know how it affects Miles...it probably helps UT, but you obviously can't count Self out.
