Yeah, they had that quote in our local newspaper Sports section, under this pic.

Know what you mean. I hear things like this lately:

"Salary cap deferrals for Elway and Davis mean nothing! Just because we had creative accounting during our SB years does not taint the victories"

I call it the OrangeMane Special....

The * CHEATING DONX are easily the dirtiest team in football and they have been for a number of years. :shake: And to their fans, they do nothing wrong. But if a team were to do to them what they do to the league, there would be no stopping the whinning. ROFL

* Voilated the salary cap during thier Super Bowl years

A lot of people feel the need to jump in and defend them. I don't. I know there was some restructuring going on with Elway's and Davis' contract during those years. Both of those players got a lot of cash and didn't mind restructuring to save cap space. There was also an issue with Elway's retirement date because he appeared in beer commercials for Coors, which the league doesn't allow current players to do. It sounds like the Bronco FO screwed up the contracts and now they are getting burned for it. A fine and a draft choice. I can certainly live with that. I know that all of you would feel the same way if you were in my position. I just checked those Lombardi trophies recently. There's no taint on them. They're still silver, and shiny as hell.

Getting burned for it? Please define "burned" ROFL

It was more likely planned. All the * DONX had to give up for cheating was a fine and a couple of # 3 picks. With "fines" like that, I'm surprised more teams dont try it. :hmmm:

Also, they never came clean like Pittsburgh did as it took 20 months of Al Davis calling them out and an investigation to find the latest cap violation.

* Violated the salary cap during thier championship years. :shake:

Define "getting burned" for breaking the rules? What do you not understand? Are you really that dense? I have a feeling that this issue is like a new toy for you, and a welcome distraction from how the Chiefs have done in the last couple of weeks. What's surprising to me is that as hard as some teams come up against the cap year after year there are still teams that don't even use all of the space allowed.

That’s one thing you have to give the faiders, at least when they had a team and players, they were proud of being dirty, and took great pride in it.
The donko’s on the other hand are sneaky lil bastards who won’t own up to what they do.
Guess that’s the difference between the blue collar (and jail) crowd and the whine and cheese eaters.

Upon further review, the block that broke Jacksonville defensive end Paul Spicer's right leg during Sunday's game - and likely ended his season - was not a cheap shot.

That verdict came down Monday, shared by B-r-o-n-c-o-s coach Mike Shanahan and Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio.

"It did not appear to be a deliberate attempt to hurt him," Del Rio told the Jacksonville media Monday. "This is a violent sport, and unfortunately things like that happen. It probably will be fined, but I don't think it was a deliberate attempt."

Bet Gene Washington won't see it that way.

It was an unfortunate sight late in the third quarter when Broncos fullback Reuben Droughns and left tackle Matt Lepsis hit Jacksonville defensive lineman Paul Spicer. Spicer broke his right leg on the play. Droughns blocked Spicer high and Lepsis, who appeared not to see Droughns, hit Spicer low. The play upset several Jacksonville players. Fans booed Broncos players when they consoled Spicer while he was on a cart, leaving the field.

you are right........it is hard nosed and clean.
When will we see our Chiefs D be this aggressive, or even half?

What I find especially humorous though is with all the dirty play and cheating they still aren't worth a fuck. Hahahahaha.
