Amazing how Curt pitched today, despite a messed up ankle.

And kudos to Curt Schilling... as much crap as baseball players get on this board for being wimps, Schilling gutted it out with an obviously bloody ankle that was in risk of tearing up and causing a career threatening injury... and he dominated the Yankees in their house.

What a freaking series... this has been better than last year. All the epic games the last few nights, both teams emptying out all the bullpens and just trying to keep their pitching staffs together. Now both teams have to find someway to do it again tomorrow, the 5th day in a row, and the World Series is at stake.... whew.

It was god's work. I think it's more of a Yankmee's / Evil Empire type of thing though.

Its the first time ive mentioned it...

Schilling is the man. I wish the Royals could get players like that or (in the case of Beltran) keep them. Sigh.

Something to do with interference, meaning the ball is dead. So I'm guessing if the ball is dead, no runners can advance.

Following it up on ESPN2's Baseball Tonight, where they showed a clip of the umpiring crew chief said that if the runner intentionally interfere (meaning knock someone down intentionally to avoid being tagged out), then the ball becomes dead, the interferer is out, and nobody can advance, meaning the other baserunners goes back to their origional occupying base.

Yep, they just had an umpires press conference on Baseball Tonight. That's exactly how the crew chief explained it, the runner had to return to his original base.

Frazod 10-19-2004 10:56 PM

So basically, by being a CHEATING LITTLE BITCH, PayRod cost his team a runner in scoring position.

Cool. :thumb:
