KDEB 27--mid 80's to late 80's I reckon. He did not have his own show or anything...he would just be on before cartoons for 10 minutes or so. Also I remember he remixed "Ice, Ice, Baby" to KDEB 27 style.

Was the clown Bozo?

The weird thing is that I don't really remember watching very many cartoons when I was young. The Road Runner, Bugs Bunny and the Pink Panther come to mind, but I've seen them so many times over the year that I don't remember how long ago it was that I first watched them.

Probably the earliest cartoon was The Herculoids. I mostly remember seeing that because my cousin and I would pretend to be one of the characters while we watched it and, since he was older, he always chose the dragon first and I got stuck being the stone ape.

I was really young and used to get nightmares from it. It would piss my mom off. I was banned from watching most of the time but I always find a way around that. It's amazing what you can get when you promise to listen to the babysitter if you can just watch the show and promise not to tell mom. :)

The earliest tv show I can remember watching was the 50's version of Rin Tin Tin.

It was before I went to kindergarten so that would have made it probably 73 or so. I remember watching it every morning and then fighting with my mom when she'd try to dress me in shorts because I couldn't play Rin Tin Tin in shorts... cowboys didn't wear shorts.

Even as a little kid, that show really annoyed me. It was so terrible in every way. I wonder who brought that concept to the table, and then I wonder about the people who implemented it. You had writers who put together dialogue for the chimps, costumers who put clothing on the chimps, and all those other things. How did they feel about their jobs at the end of the day? Did they think it was cool to dub dialogue onto chimps, or did they not tell anyone what they did for a living?

My very 1st memory was JFK's funeral on our 1st tv set when I was just over 2 years old.
I do remember Dark Shadows, he was pretty darn scary for a little kid like me.

Buzz 09-26-2016 08:15 PM

Saturday morning cartons, Sunday wrestling, Batman, Star Trek, Lost in Space and spaghetti westerns with Dad. Mostly after we got a color TV.

Buzz 09-26-2016 08:20 PM

Oh and Three Stooges, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis and Elvis.

Rasputin 09-26-2016 08:22 PM

I'm not sure what my first show was but I know my dads favorite tv show was M.A.S.H so i'd go with that.

It was probably three company or Gilligans Island or the Andy Griffith show or The Jefferson's or Sanford and Son or Good Times or The Facts of Life there was a bunch of shows I remember.

I mostly miss Saturday morning cartoons

Gonzo 09-26-2016 08:24 PM

Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street as a little kid.
As a 5-6 year old? I loved me some looney tunes and super friends.

Lonewolf Ed 09-26-2016 08:39 PM

Hmmm, tough question. Probably Hogan's Heroes.

ROFL

interesting:

http://www.deilataylor.com/little-ra...billie-thomas/

Quote:

Billie Thomas became “Buckwheat” in the 1935 episode called, Mama’s Little Pirate. But he continued to play the role as a girl. Since the character, “Buckwheat” was originally a girl, Hal Roach and the studio must have wanted to keep it that way — even though the new actor for Buckwheat was the boy, Billie Thomas. If you were ever confused about whether he was a little girl or a little boy, this may be the reason. He wore pigtails with bows, a large over-sized sweater and large over-sized floppy boots.
