YAY, WE HIT A FREE THROW!

PinkFloyd 12-19-2006 10:12 PM

If I was the Illini --- I would foul us every time we get the ball....

noa 12-19-2006 10:13 PM

Clarence Gilbert could get you 6 points in 6 seconds.

On one night, the next he could go 0-5 in 6 seconds.

siberian khatru 12-19-2006 10:14 PM

GODDAMMIT!

tk13 12-19-2006 10:14 PM

PinkFloyd 12-19-2006 10:18 PM

Chief Henry 12-19-2006 10:20 PM

What happened..?

noa 12-19-2006 10:20 PM

That ending sucked. You don't have time to go behind the back there. Just plant your feet and shoot.

siberian khatru 12-19-2006 10:20 PM

Oh, for ****'s sake.

Well, MU had NUMEROUS chances to win this game. Missed FTs, failure to rebound, lane violation, then never even got a tying FG attempt off.

Oh, well. Still liked what I saw. Way, way better than that cokehead coach we had. Room to grow.

If Herm was your coach, you coulda kicked a FG there, we'd be in OT right now.

PastorMikH 12-19-2006 10:22 PM

Win or lose, they are fun to watch.

I'll be happy this year if they are scrapping and fighting like they have so far.

They have made so much improvement from last year already and I think that by the end of the year this squad will be competitive with most teams.

Give Anderson a few years to get his guys recruited, if they lose I'll be upset. Right now, I'm happy with the intensity and work ethic they are showing.

PinkFloyd 12-19-2006 10:22 PM

I'm pissed we lost... We should have beaten that team... But; on the other hand --- I like the hustle this team has... This team would have lost by 20 if Quinn was still coaching... We'll be allright ...

If Herm was our coach, the score would have been 67-9 (and one of those 3s would have been beyond 50 yds).

Hootie 12-19-2006 10:24 PM

Bruce Weber is a tremendous coach...'tis a shame he can't recruit worth a lick.

It must have been one hell of a finish. I just told my 12 year old nephew earlier tonight that Defense-Rebounds and Free Throws
will win alot of basketball games. It sounds like MU needed those
Free throws.

Yeah... tough loss, but the future's bright.

COKE HEAD ???? wtf

PastorMikH 12-19-2006 10:26 PM

Just think guys, if Quin was here we'd be something like 3-8 instead of 9-2.

:)

Mecca 12-19-2006 10:31 PM

MU just looks like they lack players......there's no go to guy.

Hootie 12-19-2006 10:33 PM

don't feel too good about losing to Illinois...they really aren't very good. Trust me, I know.

Trying to go behind the back wtih 4 seconds left isn't my definition of go to guy.

How do you know. Their record tells otherwise, and they have Pruitt. They will be in the dance IMO.

because I went to the U of I for two years...

Pruitt sucks...he played out of his mind tonight...he's not good.

Their best player, Randall, is hurt and wasn't playing. Warren Carter is also pretty good...

But Weber is a great coach of guards (as evidenced by the progression of Luther Head, Deron Williams and Dee Brown) and our guards are horrendous. Jamar Smith is horrible, Chester Frazier can't shoot, Calvin Brock is raw...

They play GREAT defense, but offensively, they simply aren't a good team.

so will a lot of teams...

All I'm saying is, Illinois is average...Missouri is going to get their asses kicked in Big 12 play, just like Illinois will in Big 10 play.

Um, Randle played the entire game... he had several key offensive rebounds, just like he always does.

So what other reason would you laugh? Is it laughter to cover up the tears that Missouri has likely never had a player like OJ Mayo? Well atleast in the last 25 years anyway.

We kinda knew that coming in... Most Mizzou fans are just excited to see the team playing their butts off. It's a welcome change. It may be a couple years before we're a force in the Big 12. I'm ok with that.

When only a thousand fans show up to your games, does it really matter?

OJ probably won't play a minute at USC.
