Christ, give it a rest.

Perhaps you should start rooting for that team that wears bundle of sticks-blue if you love Roy so much.

The point is, is that you dont recruit a guy that has been playing for only 2 years to play against such a high level of competition just because he's a big body.

Nothing's wrong with it, unless we forget who our best players are like we did in the last several minutes of the A&M game.

I'm not hatin' on anyone, I just think we are at our best when we let our guards penetrate and don't try to artificially force things through the post when we don't have a distinct matchup advantage.

I'm sure most fans aren't oblivious to what's going on outside of their own team, but I've known many more people that would watch 3 random NFL games in a day or any hockey they can get...

On that note, I watch teams like Oklahoma State a few times or Kentucky against Florida and wonder WTF they are doing in the top 25, but every year more of those teams make it further into the tournament.

Really glad to see after the A&M game the guys stomping on the throats when they get up; keep the pressure on and take away all hope from these lesser teams.

*Please don't jinx this.....

I don't see KU losing another game this season.

Dude, as it's already been stated, Roy is gone; KU plays defense now. Kaun is no exception. That's why you can't take him out of the lineup.

Blow U is hard to figure out this year. New coach will do that. They haven't won a single true road game this year.

From what I recall a couple seasons ago, Bill Self didn't do much in the tournament when he did have an All-American PF who could score with ease.

Yeah but about 50 million times more talented. Im not talking so much about height, because May played the 5 man. Kaun doesnt have any talent, and I dont understand why people here stick up for the guy, he sucks. People say he plays defense, well good for him anyone of KU's squad other than Kaun can play defense too.

Kaun is still prolly our best all-around big man

if he can just develop some post moves he should be a viable guy

jackson has been coming on strong lately though

I guess you're talking about strictly height, because other than that Kaun is notour best big man. That's clearly visable. I havent seen so many missed layups from a KU bigman since Chenoworthless, or Ostertag.

That's not true at all. The only difference is that when you score quick like they do you give the opposition more possesions. Having that said you can still play defense and stop teams from scoring.

Right Herm?

Self needs to recruit a 3. We aren't going to have a 3 next year if Rush goes pro unless Rodrick Stewart looks to get major playing time. I don't think Rush will go pro, but we only have one 3 as it is, so might as well start looking.

Silock 02-14-2007 11:45 PM

No one has coughed up any info about Cole Aldritch. What's the skinny on this guy?

The reason KU fans are pissed off about Kaun is that if he were able to hit 50% more of his shots, KU would rarely lose. Self insists on getting the ball inside to him, which is fine, but he misses shots and teams just kinda sit back and don't allow him to then dish it back out.

He does play good D and sets great screens.

I think he could be a GREAT shooting guard. Even when the guy comes in off the bench stone cold, he still makes shots. The guy needs some time to develop, but I think he could be a real threat from the outside next year to take some of the pressure off of Collins.

We will still have Robinson and Chalmers next season.

Silock 02-15-2007 12:17 AM

Robinson isn't that great of a shooter. Chalmers is decent.

Right Herm?

KU: No. 7 in FG% defense (38.2)
UNC: No. 29 in FG% defense (40)

KU: No. 29 in scoring defense (61.3)
UNC: Not in top 50 (67)

KU: No. 15 in FG% offense (48.9)
UNC: No. 5 in FG % offense (50.8)

KU: No. 21 in scoring offense (78.4)
UNC: No. 2 in scoring offense (88.1)

KU: 22-4
UNC: 22-4

Robinson isn't a bad shooter. He just doesn't have to shoot. Chalmers is slowly slipping into that same role. Their defensive presence is what matters.

Silock 02-15-2007 12:26 AM

He's not bad, but he's shooting in the 30% range from both 2 and 3. That's not terrible, but it's not that great, either. Certainly not what you'd like out of a pure shooting role. But, obviously, what they're doing now is working. And no one knows what the make up of the team will be next year, so who knows if a shooter would even be necessary.

I just think Morningstar has the potential to be that guy (he hasn't really shown potential as anything but that guy).

Imon Yourside 02-15-2007 12:50 AM

Ya that Roi blows everyone out by 50, they lost to va tech at home. Cole Aldrich is a BIG man, 7-0 who averages 29 a game in Minnesota HS and averaged 25 against AAU competition. Has great post moves, think Collison but taller. Knock against him is that he is rather slow and plodding. C'mon CoMo chief you don't know JU JU is JW? and Carolwhina is your 2nd favorite team? your Jayhawk license is about to be revoked, as roi can suck it.

HonestChieffan 02-15-2007 08:27 AM

Was a well played game by the Hawks. I didnt see anything but score out of Columbia. Was game as close as the score indicated?
