i love that movie. i often find that people who don't like it, feel that way because the movie is talking about them.

Pearl Harbor was horrible. Not because it had a love story intertwined, but because the love story was completely ridiculous and added nothing nor had anything to do with that tragic day. The special effects and action scenes were really good though.

The 10000 BC thread in the media forum finally brought one to mind: Roland Emmerich masterpiece "Stargate".

I felt dirty buying that dvd for some reason, but I watch it about every 6 months. I just dig that movie for some reason. Ancient egyptian with an alien tie-in does it every time.

Hairspray - Hate to admit I really like this movie.

Galaxy Quest - I own the damned DVD and still will stop to watch it on tv when it comes on. :doh!:

And let me go on record here - Battlefield Earth WASN'T that bad. It was worse.

Im not embarrassed to say i like that movie.

Alicia was freaking hot to look at during that movie.

It was so bad, that I gave up on it after 15 minutes. And wondered how I made it that long.

I suffered longer than that. I made it to where Barry Pepper gave the gun back to Mutant Travolta, and then called it. ****ing brutal.

For some reason I have to watch these if I see them on TV. I wouldn't even really say I "like" them, just that the remote gets put down when they flash on the screen.

Agreed. A friend of mine and I had passes for it. We got blotto and went to see it in the theater. Laughed my ass off through the entire thing. We were the only people there who seemed to enjoy it.

Not necessarily "B" movies, but bad movies that you know are bad but you still like them.... or chick flicks. That was the intent.

I don't think any of my list would ever be critically acclaimed.

Yep. "Flash Gordon" was as silly and campy as a film can be. The actor who played Flash was so bad that they dubbed his voice in the studio weeks before it was released in theaters.

But, God bless it...I watch that movie whenever I come across it on my channel guide.

Princess Bride is not bad, at all. It's good.

But pretty widely panned afterward. Pacino got an Oscar nod for that, too.

Yep. It's a great film. It's also pretty prophetic.

Starship Troopers might be ghey, but like Dusk till Dawn, Denise Richards in that movie is worth it...

Are you sure you're not thinking of The Legend of the Lone Ranger? I know the guy who played the Lone Ranger was dubbed by one of the Keach brothers. I'm pretty sure Sam Jones' voice was used in Flash Gordon-I've seen him in a couple of other movies.

Yeah, I like it, too. Not really a bad movie, IMO, as it was intended to be cheesy and silly.

IMDB doesn't mention anything about Jones' voice being dubbed. Normally that sort of thing is listed in the trivia section. The dubber (is that a word?) would be listed in the expanded credits as well.

Starship Trooper. Ony because Yes is such a great band, which led me to rent it only because of the title.

I love Starship Troopers. LOVE IT. Never read the book so I didn't get offended, as I was with Dune (don't even get me started on David fucking Lynch's butchery).

I guess that would be my favorite bad movie, but I really don't consider it bad. Just cheesy and silly. With great special effects and DEnise Richards.

I have that on DVD - it's a bit ragged in spots, but overall is hilarious. The scene where the punk rocker is chasing the blue lady around the park trying to steal her panties is classic.
