I'm not glad he's out cause my fantasy team is royally ****ed...

otherwise i could careless...he'll be fine.

Chief Pote 09-08-2008 10:22 AM

Bad thread.....this gives this site a bad name.

How could anyone say that Tom Brady isn't good for the game of football? If you agree that he is, why wish him an injury? Sour grapes guys, just because our team sucks, no reason to suck also.

Jesus, sometimes I wonder if this fan base deserves to win a championship.

I think some of you go overboard with the classy bullshit.

Am I happy the guy is hurt? No.

Do I feel sorry for the established player with millions? No.

Would I feel sorry for the 53rd man on the roster who this happened to? Yes.

Seriously, when Brady went down, how many of you really felt bad, and/or upset?

How many went "hm..maybe we have a chance now?"

1st response mainly cause of my fantasy team

I admit the latter. Not that he was out for the season, just maybe the half so we could get a lead and lose at the end.

I pretty much seceded this 1st week to pickup Damon ****ing Huard, since im in the deepest league known to man and some douch grabbed cassell seconds after Brady went down. I had to cut a starting TE and DEF...since i didn't want to cut Matt Forte...

I ended up getting Deshaun Jackson as well

I know I did. on more than one occasion

Howdy Rr 69,
Instead it was Elway breaking KC in half. Over and over and over again.:)

I drafted Brady first round on my fantasy team so in that respect I hate to see his stats go. I don't wish injury on any specific player. Other than that? **** New England. They were cool when Grogan and Francis et al were there but now they are unlikable as hell. Brady comes across as a tool, how much do you need to hear from Bruschi before you want to throw up and Belichik is an adultering little cheating pecker. They are old and getting older and their last SB window just slammed shut.
Heh heh.

There are a lot of posts, and not just in this thread, that imply exactly that. In the grand scheme of things, I'm not particularly butt hurt over it, but I certainly think it displays a lack of class and I prefer not to be associated with such behavior.

Is it going to cause me to start a "I'm leaving the Planet forever" thread? No. Not at all.

I'll have to agree with Dart on this one.

Patriots | Brady suffers two torn ligaments in knee
Mon, 8 Sep 2008 09:02:18 -0700

Updating ongoing reports, Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (knee) has a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee. Brady, as reported, is expected to be out for the remainder of the season.

Redrum_69 09-08-2008 11:26 AM

ah, too bad..so sad

SAUTO 09-08-2008 11:30 AM

ive said it before ill say it again, i dont give two shits about tom brady, out fir the game, season, or career, it doesnt mean ANYTHING to me. i worry about chiefs players thats all i care about. im not wishing or hoping that the guy's career is over i just dont care one way or another. now if he was maimed for life then thats different but a knee COME THE HELL ON

SAUTO 09-08-2008 11:39 AM

you know the more i think about it you fans that are calling us classless need to rethink who you're sticking up for
#1 BB, this is the guy who CHEATED for years BLATANTLY
#2 RANDY MOSS this is the guy WHO STOLE from the raiders(i only play if we're winning)
#3 TOM BRADY this is the guy who can come out AFTER beating a team 50-10 and say " WELL, we need to play better as a team and put all the pieces in place and ...."
CLASSLESS? really? who's classless? the PATS THATS WHO!

SAUTO 09-08-2008 11:41 AM

wonder if brady has that smug look on his face now.
KARMA? someone already said this somewhere but BB had Brady on the Injury report just messing around for 57 weeks and then he MIGHT have an injury so he takes him off ARROGANTLY playing games THEN BRADY gets the knee ripped in two, TALK ABOUT ****ING KARMA!!!

That's the nature of sports fans, it's not just Chiefs fans. It's not any different from of the hatred of Nebraska I see here from the MU, KU and other rival fans. NU had a winning program for a long time, and now other fans are taking pleasure in our misery, and I don't blame them one bit.

i like missouri, but that doesn't mean i would take joy in reesings getting hurt.

would i like for him to get knocked silly, out for the rest of the game against us, with no lingering effects after that, sure.

that is not the same as cheering for tom brady to suffer a severe injury far beyond the point where it helps (whatever miserable) hopes your team has for that day.

it sounds like the pathetic vag who started this thread is just jealous. it's pretty weak to want someone to get hurt, not because they even have anything to do with you, just because they do your job better and you don't like looking bad by comparison

Those all aren't from the same thread. I don't have a problem with people saying they don't give a damn about the injury or think some kind of karma befell him. It's those that are openly applauding his injury that I find revolting.

I've had enough of broadcasters calling him "tom terrific" before the injury, boston has been too fortunate in championships lately and their fans haven't been remotely classy about it. I'd like to see all of their teams win 3 games/year for a decade, but this is out of line.

the only bad thing about the injury...is the price of his rookie card that I have that is a graded 99 may drop in value.

But who cares, I paid only $5.00 for it when he was an unknown.

The last time I checked it was $600.00

Well, there's a difference between hoping for injuries and celebrating those that have already occurred. :)

I was thinking maybe since it was the Donks and Raiders it didn't count, but that works for me as well. :thumb:

I guess if this a thread, customers of your competition would be laughing and cheering when your hoist fails and smashes you like the wicked witch of the west?

It's exactly what you said, as I have proven by quoting your post here.
I do think it's funny that you would call someone a ahter, while you delight in a great player's injury, just because you are jealous of his success.

YES i said i cheered because he was playing the CHIEFS, after that it DOESNT mean anything to me, also if you READ any other posts in this thread you would see why i dont like brady, not because he's successful, but because he's arrogant about it, "we won by 50 BUT we need to play better" and so forth, thats showing class:rolleyes: actually i like farve he's successful Romo also he's been fairly successful, just not brady, if farve or romo got hurt it STLL wouldnt mean shit to me

I am as big a Brady basher/hatah as they come but I really do not wish him a season ending injury. MOF, seeing him lose the SB in a disasterous fashion as he did last season was way more satisfying than seeing him limp off the field biting his lip.

That was almost sad. I'd rather see him beaten than broken. Both would be nice but not injured broken. Broken spirit is good for me. Now we have to wait an entire year before we possibly see that again...

I'm bummed.
