That reminds me of Nichols Lunch (now closed) near Westport. Their food sucked, but when you're loaded and starving it was like eating at a 5-star restaurant.

I don't have cravings, and hate it when people say "what sounds good to you", because I'm the least picky eater I know.

That said, I went through this phase where I'd get cravings for Chipotle. It started out as convenience, and then every once in a while I'd get a craving for it and wonder WTF I was getting a craving for something that wasn't even all that great. Sorry, I said no crack.

Thankfully I never ran across one in Omaha and there aren't any all that close here.

I like Chipotle. If I ever get cravings for "fast food" it's either Chipotle or Wendy's, but mostly Chipotle.

macdawg 09-24-2008 09:59 PM

Burnt end sandwiches from either Jack Stack or Smokehouse, at least twice per month.

A few times a year I crave a good chocolate peanut butter malt so I go to Sheridans or Ben & Jerrys.

A good steak, at least once a month, I either grill it myself with garlic mashed potatoes & asparagus and eat at home or go to a good steakhouse. Last steak I had was actually at Houstons on the Plaza, they have a Hawaiian Ribeye that is amazing, they marinate the steak for 3+ days in pineapple and soy sauce, sounds weird but just trust me.

Last craving is the drink called a caipirinha that I have to have at least once a year, preferably in the summer, only place in KC I've found that serves them is McCormick & Schmidts.

It was two months almost 16 years ago. The only thing I remember is the cooks would put in a couple too many pizzas right before close "by accident" and handing out candy to kids that were trick-or-treating at the mall.

Oh, and having to wear that stupid bowtie.

As far as the food and kitchen went, everything was good and clean. Sorry, no sick stories from what I remember.

Not exactly. If it were Donger, the post would read "explain 'southwest type' please?"

The question mark is vital.
