Tony should be angry. Carl screwed him out of the biggest contribution he could give this rebuild, and that was a 3rd round draft pick.

No one is going to deal a 3rd for him then, he will just be one year older.

This is also another example of a veteran player coming clean and saying Peterson misled them and didn't uphold his end of the bargain.

KCTV5 reported that he has one year after this, then he's retiring. Another masterstroke for CarP.

It's okayyyy. JFC.

Exactly wat I've been saying for the past several days.

Good work, Carl.

Go **** yourself, Doucheweed.

The Chiefs should have taken the 3rd round pick.

With all the agents advising their junior clients to come out in 2009 (because with a new CBA in 2010, there's a likelihood of NBA-Style rookie slotting draft), not only will 2009 be the deepest draft ever, that 3rd round pick could be a valuable immediate starter.

The thing that really sickens me is that Clark just sits back and lets Carl and Herm do whatever the hell they want. There is no question in my mind that he could care less.

HypnotizedMonkey 10-15-2008 02:19 PM

... but like he's really going to come out and say he DOESN'T like being a Chief.. even if he really doesn't. Tony's a smart guy... he knows what not to say. I'd be way more pissed off at this point.. but he IS a class act. lol

No shit...

It's too bad

I'm glad Carl didn't trade Tony...not because I think Carl is a good GM...but because I'm just so damn optimistic that Carl/Herm might be gone at the end of the season and we can shut down this rebuild (in a stupid way) Bullshit and rebuild in a competent way that actually teaches young players to win by tackling, blocking and doing the fundamentals it takes when you're a young team. Oh yeah...and a new leadership that recognizes the QB is HUGE and drafts a guy that grows into the role while letting a vet (not Huard) play the role of mentor/starter for the guy's first year (possibly two).

IF this stuff happens...we'll be glad that gonzo is still around because he helps us get better quicker with a new regime. If this regime remains, nothing changes and you might as well trade Gonzo for a 7th round pick because the quality of player won't matter with the level of incompetence that resides at 1 Arrowhead Drive.
