Beltran, Dye, Damon. A long, distinguished list. That's why it's been so easy to be a fan of this franchise.

Looks like things have COMPLETELY changed at the K. Thank goodness...

Sweeney, unfortunately.

Sweeney's deal was his 2nd extension.

I think the question was referring to pre-arb players. Soria would be the answer there.

Berroa would be the one before that...

Y'all may want to just forget I said anything.

I don't think Zack's gonna turn out like Berroa. I hope so, anyway

yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Although, we weren't paying him much for the next couple years, so it really makes years 3 and 4 pretty expensive. Definitely worth it though

Dayton Moore is continuing to impress. He's actually managing to live up to the considerable hype. Heard him on the radio today preaching about how they still need more pitching. For the first time in forever, I can't wait for baseball season!

Can't really look at it that way. The Royals had him under their control for 2 years.

It's $12 million for the next 2 seasons, his arb seasons. That's about market value.

It's another $26 millon for his first 2 FA seasons. Below market if he pitches to his potential, right at market if he pitches like last season.

It's a good deal, one that had to be made. However, as Angel proved, they're not worth anything until they earn it.
