I saw it won, but what did it win? I had the sound off and wasn't paying a whole lot of attention.

Ultra Peanut 02-22-2009 09:43 PM

But Eddie Murphy died eleven years ago!

Deberg_1990 02-22-2009 09:43 PM

Jerry Lewis!

Ultra Peanut 02-22-2009 09:45 PM

Holy ****ing shit, is Jerry Lewis sick or something?

He looks great.

unothadeal 02-22-2009 09:46 PM

Aren't those speeches usually 20 minutes long?

Delano 02-22-2009 09:46 PM

Speaking of looking great, Anne Hathaway is hot when she gets all dolled up.

Frazod 02-22-2009 09:46 PM

Did he have a stroke or something?

Ultra Peanut 02-22-2009 09:47 PM

Frazod 02-22-2009 09:57 PM

DomerNKC 02-22-2009 09:57 PM

Demonpenz 02-22-2009 09:58 PM

slumdog was the most orginal film to come out in 15 years

unothadeal 02-22-2009 09:59 PM

I feel like I should be eating chicken shawarma right now.

Ultra Peanut 02-22-2009 10:00 PM

Bollywood numbers should be a ****ing requirement for the Oscars from here on out.

In fact, just name off the winners in the first hour and go with Bollywood dance numbers for the next three hours.

royr17 02-22-2009 10:01 PM

so what did heath win for his role in the dark knight ?

DomerNKC 02-22-2009 10:02 PM

Next year the film of the year is going to be about someone that won on "wheel of fortune" from Zimbabwe.

Apparently all you have to do in Hollywood now is go gay to win awards...

keg in kc 02-22-2009 10:45 PM

I called Penn's win a month ago. After finally seeing the film yesterday, I don't think he gave the best performance of the nominees, but I thought the social implications of the role made it a foregone conclusion.

And after watching the film, and seeing just how similar the events of proposition 6 were portrayed to what I saw with proposition 8, I think he had to say what he just said.

He aways has, although they apparently changed somewhat after joesomebody started rubbing raw steak on his weiner before playtime.

Ultra Peanut 02-22-2009 10:50 PM

Most of the words Sean Penn said were great, and all, but the very fact that he's Sean Penn is enough to make them completely counterproductive.

It's the Oscars. He would have done an interpretive dance to share his feelings on the important matters. Obviously.
