Either way, the best player in the league last year lead the league in FT attempted. Oh yeah, his name was Lebron James.

Lebron James a billion times better than Hansborough, cmon now

He'll get thrown around like a rag doll, just like hackaloogee thabeet who is a big ****ing stick

are you attempting to compare lebron james and mouth breather?

mouth breather is a spaz who muscles through college pussies for points....his patented shoulder smash and shot from hip while falling sideways will go nowhere in the NBA...and his defense is pathetic, he can not hold his position in the post...but to be fair, he never even tried in college...

he'll be lucky to be a 7th or 8th guy off the bench....

Cole Aldrich treated him like Dennis Rodman treated Madonna's vagina...what the hell do you think grown ass men in the nba are going to do?

dirk digler 06-25-2009 07:54 PM

Who? Stern couldn't even pronounce his name.

Ummm. Charlotte IIRC.

Mr. Krab 06-25-2009 07:57 PM

The biggest problem i see with Hansborough is that he plays almost completely below the rim. He actually plays smaller than he is physically. I don't know what is going to happen, but he could get completely owned in the NBA because he plays so small.

Ultra Peanut 06-25-2009 07:57 PM

lollin' @ Stern trying to pronounce that.

Holy crap, DeJuan Blair is soooo close to reaching the Grizz. Yeah, he's short, but he's a ****in' beast.

Then they could merge the two together into HaJuan Thablair and have the best 7-footer ever.

What position does he play in the NBA? Too small for center. I don't see him as productive PF. Can't play SF.

Ty Lawson will be traded to Denver

The Grizzlies are getting good in the "draft players who gave the Tigers trouble" department. And I was happy with both. As I said, oh, six hours ago:

he must have really f'd knees....but even if the guy only plays 5 years, he's a better pick....

they drafted 2 players and neither can score, and neither are physical studs...

i like memphis - lived there - but they are clueless...and the city of memphis is depressed as hell right now

Mecca 06-25-2009 08:14 PM

Blair is also really undersized for a PF.

Anyone who had that 2nd pick was going to take Thabeet that was basically a no brainer pick.

Mecca 06-25-2009 08:15 PM

And Memphis gets rid of Darko.

irrelevant, he isn't worth a second and they have bigger problems

personally, I think the guy is a big pussy and he is a joke offensively

suck for another year and get Aldrich next year...

Sure-Oz 06-25-2009 08:22 PM

aldrich will probably be what a top 12 pick? he shouldve came out this year he wouldve been taken 2nd...what was the reasoning, trying to get another ncaa championship while his family is super poor.

No, definitely not comparing LBJ to Hansbrough. I'm just saying, just because Hansbrough has a knack for drawing fouls and getting to the line isn't a bad thing. If he didn't go to the line, you all would be saying that he wasn't physical enough. Whatever he does, it's somehow bad. It's just the stigma he has incorrectly obtained for whatever reason. The guy is almost an equal athlete as Blake Griffin, and if you don't believe me, go back and look at the NBA combine results. The number's don't lie. Sure Blake Griffin uses his size and athleticism better but the big knock against Hansbrough is he is shorter than 6'9'' and isn't athletic or quick, which simply isn't true.

Relax man, i'm not trashing your guy. I'm just saying that Hansborough has a weakness just like the rest of draftees. His weakness imo is that he tends to play small and that's not a good thing in the NBA. I think that's the reason he went 13th.

Yep. 55% of ESPN voters rated that pick an F.

If the Cavs didn't have Lebron they would be one of the worst teams in the NBA.

I said I don't see him as a "productive power forward". It's all in the reading.

Honestly, I don't pay much attention to the NBA, so I could be way off base. When I think of NBA PF, I think of very athletic players. Hansbrough could surprise me, but he doesn't scream athletic to me.

He doesn't seem to fit in the Garnett/Howard/Nowitzki/Bosh mold. Again, I could be wrong.

there are players like him in the NBA tho, they are not super stars, but i think they add a huge spark off the bench

Looks like rubio is being a litte biaatch

Rubio not thrilled about T-Wolves thus far

Ricky Rubio doesn't sound too excited about being drafted by the Timberwolves, moving to a cold-climate city, or by the fact they drafted another point guard just after taking the Spanish sensation.

After saying he and his mother dislike cold weather, Rubio said he was unsure about playing in the NBA this season. "I don't know yet," he said. "I have to think about that," while his father told media outlets that he would likely stay overseas for another year or two. David Kahn said he has no intention of trading Rubio, but it looks like there's a good chance they could be forced to, as Minnesota was clearly not on the list of teams he, and agent Dan Fegan, wanted to sign with. What the fuck is wrong with these overseas guys? You can't pick and choose where you get to play. It's the NBA, it's a business. Like when Yi Jianlian through a hissy fit because he got drafted by Milwaukee. Why do they freak out when they go to a city that isn't 10 miles near the ocean?

Sure-Oz 06-26-2009 09:54 AM

I'd tell rubio to screw off....i hope if he's gonna be a punk he doesn't get a chance at millions

Mr. Arrowhead 06-26-2009 10:28 AM

i think we know why the T wolves drafted another PG then. Pretty much for insurance.
