Yeah, it was. And I think you brought up a damn good point that those of us getting involved should band together to buy our supplies in bulk to cut the costs. The savings will be considerable.

Absolutely.

And I'd like to make a request.

I'd like my business cards in bone, with a silian rail font.

TIA

Yeah, and hopefully people aren't thinking I was joking around or am just trying to make a buck. I work at a print shop, I can get things for a considerable amount less than anyone else could.

I'll make sure to mention that anytime anyone asks about marketing material!

Eh, even if you were still making a buck, it would still be cheaper for everyone involved. My wife used to be the VP of a large printing company here in town, and I know the difference in markup between what you're offering and the same service at FedEx/Kinko's.

RJ 09-23-2009 08:41 PM

I'm very interested, I need to figure out whether I have enough time to invest in it. Seems like if it's sales and no maintenance you could make a few bucks with an afternoon a week.

How do you guys see the presentation? Drop an email to the establishment? Cold call? Phone? Parachute into the parking lot?

Cold calling seems to work best.. I'll put all the talkign points and marketing material online in the next day.

That would be great. Once I see that I think I'd have a better idea of how to pitch the service.

teedubya 09-23-2009 08:56 PM

I wish I had heard this... Im sure that I could help you with some angles of operation. Good luck, Kyle.

Chieftain58 09-23-2009 10:20 PM

15 years ago Budweiser used to pay me .35 cents a case--------sucked in the wintertime $350.00 a week and $900.00 a week during the summertime. I grew my area 10% for 4 years and made very good money but had no life. SO it probably depends on how much time people want to put into your product/business.

Buck 09-29-2009 09:57 PM

If anyone wants to see the Business Card I designed let me know.

Send me a PM, and give me your email address.

Also I'll get you pricing and also you can pick out a background image for you.

I dont think you all want the San Diego Skyline.

I have the files set up to where I can just switch out the San Diego picture w/ whatever.

AustinChief 10-15-2009 02:15 PM

ok, all the peeps involved or who want to be involved... I am setting up a subforum for this. I'll get the info out in the next hour.

Boise_Chief 10-15-2009 02:54 PM

Day late and a dollar short....

I would like info on this if you are still needing a guy around my neck o' the woods.

AustinChief 10-15-2009 02:59 PM

I am adding people to the Monarch usergroup... once added you should see a monarch17 subforum. Check in there once you do.

You're more patient than me. I just start by copying another usergroup and tweaking from there. Too many damn settings to mess with setting up a new one from scratch.
