I guess it's possible since he's not in a spread and he's not some runner...

No matter how badly some people believe the NFL will change with college football's spread infatuation I just don't see it happening.

Pocket passer's from pro style offenses will just be more sought after.

No, Tebow is going to revivalize the NFL, hallalujah.

I know you are being sarcastic...but Tebow was a widely heralded college football recruit. If he went to a school like USC or Georgia or something and put up great #'s could he be considered a great pro prospect? Probably, and most likely.

I dunno, he even ran around in high school, if he had gone to a pro style school he have had to sit on the bench for 3 years to learn how to play properly.

No doubt a great college football player. But his interviews annoy the crap out of me. I'm not against religion, a person's religion is their own business, and, IMO, they should keep it that way.

Fresno comes back yet again. What a game. Matthews is a stud.

Mecca 09-18-2009 09:56 PM

That should have been a pick...damn you fresno.

I think that RB is 5'3 120lbs.

OU ain't no joke. Not sayin they are deserving. But if the year ends up with USC as the only one loss team, they better go. Not that that will ever happen though.

Mecca 09-18-2009 10:04 PM

For a team like Boise to ever make the national title game everyone will have to lose 2 games and they have to play a better non con game than Oregon.

They are managing to stay ahead of Fresno but I don't think they are much better.

Mecca 09-18-2009 10:11 PM

If you did what that LB just did in the NFL you'd get a penalty...he left his feet and went high on the QB.

Sweet Daddy Hate 09-18-2009 10:13 PM

I'm not saying Pete Carrol doesn't know how to find or a develop a QB, but I'm thinking USC is in trouble tomorrow.

Sweet Daddy Hate 09-18-2009 10:14 PM

That's what kills me about the Boise conversation. They "just win" or whatever they all say...But they'd lose multiple games if they played in a conference with the plays that they make. Everybody dismisses inferior competition, but until it gets fixed, you HAVE to take it into account. There's no other way.

If Boise lines up 4 legit teams on it's non con every year and still goes undefeated then I'll say they deserve to play in the national title game.

I'm guessing no one knows much about Corp seeing as he hasn't played much unless anyone other than me here closely follows SC..

It shouldn't be a problem they'll do the same things they were doing with Barkley, lean on the RB's and defense.

Agreed

Mecca 09-18-2009 10:20 PM

For a few years when Hawaii had good players Boise wasn't going undefeated, that's really all we need to know about that competition.

I was watching ESPN college preview all day long. It was only practice footage of course, but kid looked kinda timid and "mojoless".

Meh. We'll see. Washington played a pretty decent game last time out.

what a great play!

gohper WR lays out for a td catch down the sideline, knowing he's going to get blasted by the safety

huge hit, holds on for TD, and now is down and looks to be in la la land

text book hit by the safety too

chagrin 09-19-2009 11:50 AM

Just a quick Michigan note - no way we allow EMU to score like this with any other D coordinator. Greg Robinson must ****ing go; I hate this coaching staff; hiring a guy just to score points on the field is stupid; RR is clearly in over his head.

They have quite an awesome coaching staff.

I always wonder if player are tempted to take a cheap shot on Tebow.

well, i can't imagine a great DC like kiffin wants to get embarrassed by a couple of college d bags like meyer and tebow....

it's interesting to see how an nfl mind takes on the college spread...of course talent will win out in the end, but if they kept florida under 30 it would be a huge win

Are they going to run the Tampon 2? Looks like that last play was a nice blitz.

Tampa Bay didn't even really play Tampa 2 the last couple of years.

Buehler445 09-19-2009 01:54 PM

WOW. NU's punter got rushed, rolled out, and rugby'd it 76 yards. That was a hell of an athletic move and amazing punt.
