I don't even get particular, other than since we're trying to be realistic don't give me a team that routinely does stupid shit.

What I will do, is go ahead and start the voting process, that way the guy that wins can at least have a heads-up that he's getting a spot.
I'll post the link here once it's set up. CURRENT OWNERS ONLY TO VOTE Thread is here: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=221487 |
Hey guys who are undecided on who to vote for I need some votes. Thanks
|
I wish I had held out on my vote and gone Leiberman on all your asses.
Every demand of mine, met. I could have had it easy. |

I'm sure all of the college football you watch is how you base all your picks... I'm sure it isn't all cherrypicked from your favorite draft gurus on the web... You're an idiot. You pretend like you're some draft guru but we all know you're no different than any other message board guru when it comes to this shit...I was trying to get in to prove a point...I watch maybe an hour of college football per year...but I have access to the same draft websites as you... ROFL |
I swear to God I almost asked for the Colts. I'm really looking forward to this draft. Thanks OTWP.

Dudes,
Thanks for including me, again. I'm looking forward to schooling you all:D. |
Disappointed that I can't participate this year, but life, work, school and vacation beckon. ;)
The 49ers had one hell of a 'mock' draft last year. :D 49ers Draft 10 Brian Orakpo, DE/OLB, Texas - Pro Bowl 43 Hakeem Nicks, WR, UNC - NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for October 74 Victor "Macho" Harris, CB, Va Tech - Started 8 games for a top-15 defense 107 Dannell Ellerbe, ILB, Georgia - Started 3 games for the NFL's #3 defense, compiling 41 tackles and an INT 138 Jason Watkins, OT, Florida 163* Christopher Owens, CB, San Jose State - started 6 games for Atlanta with 2 INTs 171 Maurice Evans, DE, Penn State 202 Mike Reilly, QB, CWU 227* Ramon Foster, OG, Tennessee - started 4 games for the Steelers |

and I just looked at your picks last year...
Yikes. |
Quote:
Sanchez--Obviously a terrible pick Beanie Wells--Another awful pick Cody Brown--Hurt his wrist in PS, spent the year on IR Coye Francies--Had a Donald Washington-esque year for the Browns. Jasper Brinkley--Starting for the Vikings David Bruton--Played the whole year for the Broncos Cornelius Lewis--That's a bust of a pick, no doubt Gerald Cadogan--Not a good pick Mike Goodson--Drafted by Carolina. Spent the year behind Stewart and Williams. Rhett Bomar--Giants 3rd/4th string QB as a rookie. Developmental player, that's notbad. DeAngelo-Smith. Backup safety for the Lions Terrance Knighton--45 tackles and 1.5 sacks as a rookie for the Jags. Was actually drafted in the 3rd round, got him in the 6th. Josh Mauga--7th round LB. Bounced back and forth on the Jets' PS Roy Miller--yth round DT who had 27 tackles and 2 sacks as a rookie. Was actually drafted in the 3rd round. Kenny McKinley--WR drafted in the 5th by the Broncos I got in the 7th. Saw some KR and ST action as a n00b. Brandon Tate--6th round pick for me, 3rd in reality. It's a pick you take and put him on IR b/c of his knee injury his Sr. Year. It'll pay off down the road. Thomas Morestead--KO specialist for the Saints. They took him in the 5th, I got him in the 6th for the Pats. Cary Harris--last pick for the Pats. He was drafted by the Bills in the 6th round. Had two picks as a rookie. Don Carey-7th round pick who actually went in the 6th. Plays for the Jags. Developmental player who spent the year on IR. Camerron Morrah-6th round pick by me who went in the 7th. Played the whole year for the Seahawks, but didn't see much time behind John Carlson. Bradley Fletcher--6th round player I picked who actually went in the third. Finished with 3 starts and 23 tackles as a rookie Robert Brewster--7th rounder that I got for the next to last pick in the draft. He was drafted in the 3rd round by Dallas, and projects to be their RTOTF. Brandon Swain--DII player I took as MR. Irrelevant. Never amounted to anything. So sue me. So please, tell me how terrible that draft is. |
Don't worry he probably thinks mine sucked too.
|
I got the Raiders?
I'm going to do my best Al Davis and take Usain Bolt in the first round. |
Can't believe I got the Broncos again.
In a QB-light Draft, too. Ugh. |

I had a list of teams everyone has had dating back two years. I can't believe I missed it. If you find someone willing to switch, feel free - just let me know if you do. Sorry. EDIT: Well, it's because I didn't miss it. Your teams in 2008 were the Bills and Bucs, and the Saints and Giants last year. |

I'm just bitching to bitch. No worries. I just hate the Donks. It's not going to be easy, though. There's not a lot of QBs that I like this year. |
Less than 30 days away....

February 2 - March 8 = more than 30 days. :D |
And FTR, everyone, I haven't posted a draft order yet because there are so many coin flips this year that will effect it.
IIRC, the coin flips take place at the combine, and I'll post as soon as we have something concrete. |

I think the last day of the combine is March 2nd. |
I'm excited like a kid for Christmas. Santa Sfeihc is going to bring the Lions and Giants some really good talent this year.

Arrowhead East applies in more ways than one, you know. |
I remind my Lion buddies about that(passing on Oher) often but the Lions coaching staff and admin think Backus is a good LT. I've always thought since his college days that JB would make a fine and maybe even a very good RT in the NFL but he would be overmatched on the left side. This is one time where I wish I was wrong because I really like JB just not as a LT and his playing there has been a cornerstone of the Lions problems since Millen picked him.

It'll be interesting to see who I pick.
Maybe I'll turn True Fan and draft Black Tait #1 overall to bookend with Jason Smith, since you can never have enough spread LTs who never play in a 3 point stance. |
Sweet! Then I can take Dez White.

If he falls, don't think that I'm not going to ruin the draft by pairing Spiller with Johnson.
|
Eazyb81 has informed me he needs to drop out of this year's draft, so there's a slot open drafting for the Browns and Bears.
BossChief and Billay tied for 2nd place in the voting last month. First one of you to send me a PM claiming the spot gets it. Go. |
I'm so much more active than both of them...I'm more active than anyone...
It's too bad you don't want guys that would pick within 15 minutes of the person who picked before them. |

Have you watched more than the NC game in college football? A bunch of posts screaming "look at me" doesn't connote activity in relation to draft discussion. When it comes time for the mock golden shower, you'll be first on the list. |

Billay, you better do well. I passed on sending the pm in hopes that I will be considered for the next open spot should one come available so that you could be part of this thing.
IMO you earned it for how much you contribute to draft related discussions and to be honest, you are a better addition that I to this thizang. I just hope I am next in line for a open spot should one come available this year or next because I can definitely add something to it. Good Luck buddy! Thank you to the couple guys that pmd me about the opening as well, it is much appreciated and didnt go unnoticed. If any of you really dont care about this thing, shoot me a pm and Ill gladly take your spot . |

Thanks man that was really classy :bravo: |

Looks like Eazy had the Bears who don't have a 1st or 2nd round pick. I'm really going to have to do some homework.

Good thing is though, the Browns have something like 11 picks, so that kinda makes up for it. |

You can say shit, but without being able to back it up, it doesn't make it true, it just makes you another reerun with diarrhea of the mouth and anorexia of the brain. I'm gonna do you a favor. Look up the word "solipsism". It explains your entire outlook on this website. Well, that and the phrase "****ing douchebag". You think that because you did "a" or "b" that it's somehow applicable to everyone else. Bullshit. I don't know how many ****ing times you can make a mother****ing fool of yourself, but at some point, you'd think even that might surpass the bounds of the infinite. You have no concept of people watching games and forming opinions based on observation, or watching the combine, or the Senior Bowl, or practices for said events. It's everyone else just "cherry picks". No, that's what you do because you aren't intelligent to make a decision based on observation because you don't know anything about football, either pro, college, flag, or lingerie (as has been proven time and time again through every one of your posts). Yeah, it's easy for a ****ing reerun to copy and paste someone else's draft thoughts. That's why you were pawning off what others and I said about Gholston despite never having seen him do anything. And the "****ing reerun" of the last sentence, the operative phrase, also explains why you admitted to doing so, and yet still criticize me for making that pick. |
I'm not going to read all of that...
All I'm going to say is... Hamas everyone knows you cherry pick your shit from draft websites... I bet you haven't even seen half of the prospects that are going to be drafted this year play even one game. Stop pretending like you are some know it all...because you aren't. |
I'll do my own 7 round mock right after the combine and we'll see how good I do...guarantee I can cherry pick just as good as you.
|
Translation: I have absolutely no rebuttal, so I'm going to act like I didn't read it, even though I spent more time typing two posts than it would have to have read the post above it.

I don't know about you fellas but I can't wait to get this party started.

TMD, I like you as a poster, Ive said that before. But I would never let you in this thing for the simple fact that you dont watch college football.
To let you in just to try and destroy the principle of the whole thing is beyond foolish. Ya know what we should do though? Start a CP fantasy football league next year with all 32 teams represented by the 32 most knowledgeable posters on the planet to see who could draft the best "full 53" team points wise. I bet you would do quite well if you made the cut (I doubt I would, but maybe) and it would be something you would be more well prepared for and knowledgeable about. ***my dumbass realizes that there is probably already something like this here at CP and I just havent seen it yet. |

10 minute time spans for your pick or else you forfeit it till the next time you pick when at that time you make all your choices to get up to speed, this would give a reality factor because of how many teams are asleep behind the wheel in the NFL and it would penalize them for it. We could do that and then run a full NFL draft before the season started for our teams that are already built. Hell, we could even make it a sort of keeper league where you keep the same team until the board votes that you should be fired and then a poll ensues for who should be the replacement. If done right, this could be GREAT! Someone would try to find a way to tear it down though... |

BossChief, you're in if you want the spot.
Spicy McHaggis informed me he's dropping out, (Falcons, Steelers) so the spot is yours if you want it. Reply in this thread ASAP. Thanks. |
Im starting my homework for the spot tonight.
Thanks! |
What are some good websites you guys use to studying prospects?

Hamas doesn't use websites...he has coaches film of every D1 school (and most D2/D3 schools) and does his very own scouting... |

I'm just trying to figure out a good year to set the over/under on when you're going to get over last years draft. 2015? Shit... I'd probably have to take the over. All that pissing and moaning from the board genious...you'd think we could get you to work on a cure for cancer or something... |
So no good websites? I'd be the mods banning Hootie in this section if it's possible?
