Kyle Vanden Bosch and Corey Williams to the Lions (most likely). Throw in Ndamukong Suh and their D-Line might actually be pretty damn good.

Lions coach Jim Schwartz was reportedly in free agent Kyle Vanden Bosch's house just after midnight for a recruiting visit. Vanden Bosch was expected to draw interest from other teams, but his former defensive coordinator has been the favorite to sign him all along. Expect Schwartz to walk out of KVB's house with an agreement, as the Lions look to re-tool their defensive line. and The Detroit Free Press confirms that DL Corey Williams is already in Motown, and will undergo a physical for the Lions on Friday. The physical will complete a trade sending the Browns a "fifth- or sixth-round draft pick" in exchange for the pass rusher. The Lions would also be assuming quite a bit of salary. Williams is due roughly $6 million in 2010. Both on Rotoworld.com |

Dolphins | Make five-year offer to Rolle
Comment (0) Thu, 04 Mar 2010 19:41:54 -0800 Ethan Skolnick, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, reports the Miami Dolphins have made a five-year offer to free-agent FS Antrel Rolle (Cardinals). Read more: http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl#630781#ixzz0hHR1tnTK |
Falcons are reportedly close to signing CB Dunta Robinson

Can someone explain to me why the Chiefs had zero interest in Rolle?

Lions making some moves:
Scout.com's Adam Caplan reports that the Lions have agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver Nate Burleson. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the deal will be for five seasons. The Lions shouldn't be done upgrading their WR corps after this, but we like the move if Caplan's report is true. Detroit has been needy at the No. 2 wideout spot since Calvin Johnson emerged as an All-Pro caliber talent in 2008. Last year, Johnson was dogged by double teams. Burleson won't draw safeties away from Johnson, but he at least can make plays down the field and is more efficient than Dennis Northcutt or 2009 free agent bust Bryant Johnson. I was hoping the Chiefs would make a run for him... http://bbsimg.ngfiles.com/1/20229000...2d79d92aab.jpg |
Nate Burleson signed with the Lions 5/25. Per NFLN scrolling update on free agency show.

I guess there is a hope that he makes it to KC and we have a chance to convince him to stay. "Nothing says 'fit' like 'finances' " Can you say Edgerton Hartwell and Hugh Douglas part Trois!

Hopefully Pioli is working on a deal to get Boldin here.
I wonder why there hasn't been any news on Chambers yet. Nobody is talking about him in the Media. He doesn't even make the list of free agent WR's. |

Agent for S Ryan Clark says 6 teams (including Steelers) are in play for him. "Everyone is gaga over Antrel Rolle. Ryan is a better player." |

Either KC is working behind the scenes on a couple of players, or they don't have an extreme interest in the "name guys" in FA this year...

He gets to Detroit, they want him. They tell him they'll give him 5 years for $25 million with $11 million guaranteed. They also tell him that if he leaves town for other visits the deal is off the table. Take it or leave it. He will take it every time. Thus, KC was interested but never got a chance. |

Anyone notice? Eagles and Patriots have offered Peppers a contract. Chicago is his last visit.

Dolphins gonna release S Gerbil Wilson today

I find it odd that there has been no mention of Kevin Walter anywhere.

Rolle to the Giants is reportedly "95%" done.

For the record, I wouldn't mind Kevin Faulk in the least bit. He is still a great 3rd down back, and could help Charles understand what it takes to prepare for 16 games.
I still want Justin Fargas more. Dude runs like a train. Posted via Mobile Device |

However, from a fans perspective I think it would be better to just draft a RB this year. The class is so deep that I think the Chiefs could find a guy in the mid to later rounds that could do the same job KF could do. I also think its important to sustain youth at that position rather than rely on old veterans. |

Walter would be a good signing.

Report: Peppers taking physical, deal is "imminent"
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 5, 2010 1:57 PM ET After hearing Julius Peppers' agent's statements last night, it was only a matter of time before the prize of this free agent crop signed with the Bears. The time is near. Neil Hayes of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Peppers is taking a physical in Chicago and a signing is imminent. The only question left is how much money Peppers will earn. Hayes hears that Peppers will earn $12-14 million-per-year over six years, which is actually less than we imagined. It's all about the structure. We'd be surprised if Peppers doesn't get the most guaranteed money for a defender in league history. |
Bears will be very solid next year. All they need is a premier WR and some pieces on the O-line and they're set.

Cutler has never won ANYWHERE he's been. The Bears are adding a solid RB in Taylor and a chronic underachiever in Peppers. Color me unimpressed. Their O-line is horrid. |
