Let me introduce you to this man....he had a highlight reel play last night...

His name is David Baas, the backup center, and he will snap the ball 12 feet clear over your head. Nobody can blow a snap better than this man

Typical 9ers, play good enough to make me lose my bet but still lose. YOu guys could still easily win this division this year.

The Bad Guy 09-21-2010 09:32 AM

The NFC West this year might be the worst division of all time.

CaliforniaChief 09-21-2010 09:35 AM

Serious question. Shouldn't the coach have told his captain that immediately after a stop they wanted a timeout? Or shouldn't he have gotten the ref's attention before that play to let him know that he might be calling a timeout?

It's scary how good a couple divisions are right now (not ours, obviously).

Everyone talks about the Jets-Patriots...yet the Dolphins are 2-0 coming off a road win at Minny.

Then you have Indy, Houston, AND the Titans in the South...

The Ravens, Bengals, and the Steelers in the north??? I could see any of those 9 teams getting hot and making it to the Super Bowl.

The 49ers QB depth is so deep; so deep that you could plant a small AIDs sapling in its depth

1. Alex Smith - First Overall 2005 - A Gentleman and a Scholar
http://a.espncdn.com/media/ncf/2005/.../w_smith_i.jpg

2. David Carr - First Overall 2002 - Has Been Put On His Back More Times Than Your GF
http://www.sportable.com/wp-content/...david-carr.jpg

3. Troy Smith -174th Overall 2007 - "Who?" you may ask...exactly...a past Heisman winner who was smart enough to pay off the agents of his past

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tSpUbC35Y7...th_Troy(2).jpg

And of course...the man every team wanted....

On our PS: the GREAT

Nate Davis -171th Pick Overall 2009...a man of brillance, he once spelled his name sivaD etaN

In all seriousness, this is the week the 49ers give the overrated Chiefs a reality check! I just hope PW doesn't put Cassel out. They may have a legitimate backup that could actually release the ball in under 5 seconds. Final score: 49ers 28, Chiefs 10.

Any Chiefs fan that has any grasp of reality knows this team is pretending right now. The D is better, but not great. The offense is embarassing at best, and down right pathetic at worst. Special teams is honestly where I see the most improvement, and see them as a solid unit.

As I've stated before, if you can't get even one offesnive TD against the Browns, something is horribly wrong.

2-0 is awesome, 3-0 is definately not out of the question. But beyond that, the Chiefs are gonna get used like a red-headed choir boy after mass.

As we speak, I'm furiously writing letters to the 49ers D that discuss just how easy all their mothers are to get into bed. I'm using Cassel's house as the return address.

MMXcalibur 09-22-2010 11:57 AM

I'm pessimistic on the Niner game.

I would be mildly shocked if the Chiefs defeat the 49ers. I'm fully expecting the 49ers to win by 7 if only because I don't think Cassel is going to lead our offense in making up the past points that our special teams and defense won't be getting in this game.

Pretenders? Only if an 8-8 team is a pretender. The Chiefs are who we thought they were. An average team on the rise. San Fran is underachieving right now though, but we can't call losing to the Saints a bad game.

If the Ravens can get a little more consistent play at QB they could be unbeatable.

The Steelers defense is scary once again and if Ruthlessrapist comes back 3/4ths the QB he was before they'll be a lock for the playoffs.

Houston is another dangerous team. They have the talent to make waves if they can stay healthy...

Nice. Willis is a bad man. Would love to have a player with his fire. With that said, DJ has been a man possessed this season thus far, and looks like the player we envisioned upon drafting him. Not quite on Willis' level, but he may stay step for step with him as far as #s go in this game. DJ has 24 stops so far this season. What is Willis sitting at?

The Bad:

Quote:

I took a couple of things out of Saints 25, 49ers 22 Monday night. One: San Francisco has to be the sloppiest, ugliest team in the league through two weeks, and that takes in a lot of ground (Cleveland, Carolina, Buffalo).
The Good:

Quote:

Alex Smith. Did he do enough to win the game? No. But he stood toe-to-toe with Drew Brees on a very windy night and was done in by the incompetence of his teammates.
