Oh my God, he leads his team in tackles 5 minutes into the second quarter? Best pick since Vernon Ghoulston!

Keep trying to spin your stupidity. Kordell Stewart played in the Big XII!!

He's starting, he's active, and he's productive.

FWIW, he has 7 tackles today along with the score. No one else has more than 3. I'd say he's doing a pretty good ****ing job for a noob.

I never said he did, but that's beside the point.

It was a complement. I heard from a very reliable source that Ghoulston was great. Mays can follow in his footsteps. Hopefully he pans out better than Orakpo.

It's too bad he didn't come out last year so that we could have taken him with the #3 overall pick like SOME people around here were suggesting.

1) Yes you did
2) You might check who you try to mock about Orakpo

Granted, Mays hasn't yet been outplayed by a 30 year old who spent last year in the UFL, so it's obvious that he also lived up to that draft position.

TD Taylor Mays, 0 Yd blocked punt return (Joe Nedney kick is good), 4:26.

That's okay, though. I'm just happy to be in the presence of such a prescient draftnik.

Taylor Mays is a Pollard clone with better straight line speed.

No, you called him the best QB to come from the Big XII, then after being corrected, you said it was the same thing since Colorado was already joining the Big XII, and then after being corrected on that yet again, you attempted to further spin and deflect, just like you are doing here.

If you'd like further evidence, it's right here.

Technically, the Big XII was formed in February 1994, but you are correct. They didn't actually play under the Big XII until 1996.

Either way, Kordell Stewart is the best QB that you can even loosely tie to the Big XII. If you take him out of the mix, and I guess you should, it's Vince Young.

Tell me again about how hiring Charlie and Romeo just proves that Pioli doesn't have a single original idea.

pr_capone 10-03-2010 12:28 PM

Saul... just STFU.

jspchief 10-03-2010 12:35 PM

Yea, Mays is doing good as a special teams player. How many special teams plays has Berry made?

CJ2K5 10-03-2010 12:37 PM

If Saul would leave his sparkling DC "personality" in DC, I might actually give his football takes consideration.
As it stands today, I skim right over his posts unless he is addressing me directly.

That was Mecca. IIRC, he fell in love with that argument----kinda like he fell in love with the 49ers defense

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-03-2010 02:44 PM

Actually, it was Jason Whitlock.

Big ****ing whoop he gets burnt like toast every other play. And to top that when they played Denver go back and watch him he can't stop the run for shit. I was at the game last Sunday Berry was a hell a lot better against San Francisco and he had to guard Davis half the time and shut him down. Berry is light years ahead of Earl Thomas end of discussion!

If you wanted a run defender at safety there's a pretty good one in houston that would still be on this roster had Pioli not run him outta town. He's probably gonna end up making the pro bowl this year and right now Earl Thomas is on pace to contend for defensive rookie of the year.

Eric Berry--------------------------------------17----------0---------0--------
Earl Thomas------------------------------------23----------3---------0-------
Nate Allen--------------------------------------14----------3---------0-------
Bernard Pollard----------------------------------41----------0--------1--------

I'm not saying Berry's a bust by any means, but he hasn't dominated his position amongst rookies like Suh.

Mecca 10-04-2010 01:23 PM

Did I just read that I was Jason Whitlock?

Anyhow Mays wasn't starting till this past game when they finally benched Michael Lewis.

Titty Meat 10-04-2010 01:33 PM

Lewis basically quit the team

Pants 10-04-2010 01:33 PM

TD MAYS!

Chiefs Pantalones 10-04-2010 01:34 PM

Best special teams player in NFL history.

Mr. Flopnuts 10-04-2010 01:35 PM

We'll see how Mays is doing in the next 2-3 years.

reerun. You dont want your safeties with a shitload of tackles. His low number of tackles is a good indication that our front 7 is playing well. I dont care about INTs just yet. We're 3-0 and he's playing well. Pound sand...

This year, the Chiefs are 3-0, and Mecca is around here much, much less.

I doubt it's some coincidence.

Wasn't sure if I was the only person who noticed it.

Seriously, screw Pollard. He still get roasted in coverage with ease. Houston's D has been awful this season.
