The way I have it set up, it would pretty much take everyone who's posted in this thread all repping me for about 3 months to get anywhere close to the highest category. I hope I don't have to touch it for a loooong time.

it's an inherently flawed system, and thus pointless to complain about people not 'earning it honestly.' it's a joke whether people "earn" their rep or don't. shit, I know for a fact that I don't rep every deserving post--should I feel guilty? nope. it's a fun diversion from time to time, but not exactly life or freaking death.

yes and no. there are times that said 'best posters' slide by on reputation. nobody throws gems up 24/7. sure, some are better than others, but it's rare for anybody to be 'on' all the time.
