Report of a 10 meter tsunami hit the Sendai airport.

It looked like the map they showed had the bulk of it hitting near Sendai? I don't know much about Japanese geography, but it says it's a city of approx 1 million.

Yeah, but there are more factors at play than just the size of the earthquake. Even a huge quake will not always cause a Tsunami like the one in Indonesia, and Japan has a much better warning system.

They had less than a 30 minute warning from earthquake to enormous wave of death.

I am watching footage of at least 75 cars bobbing around in the surge and thankfully one of them had the wherewithall to turn on their hazard lights while being tossed about in the waves.

I watched this documentary one time about an island off the African coast. There is a giant sheet of granite (the size of a 50 story building) on that island that is sloughing off a mountain and, according to the geo-physicists who are studying the deal, when that granite finally falls into the ocean, they expect a potential 90 foot tidal flood to hit the US.
