Anyone promoting for him to be on the cover needs their head examined.

CaliforniaChief 04-04-2011 10:59 AM

He will beat Hillis and lose to Rodgers in the semi-finals. Unless enough Patriot fans (or haters who believe in the curse) put Woodhead over the top.

What is your problem?

Dante84 04-04-2011 11:16 AM

Final 8, and its already clear that its Charles or Rodgers.

Hopefully Rodgers.

Hey idiot. Why don't you just take a 2x4 to Jamaal's knee now and save him the trouble of going through training camp.

Mama Hip Rockets 04-04-2011 11:22 AM

Why do people still think the Madden curse is real? Fitzgerald and Brees have been fine the past two years.

Bambi 04-04-2011 11:23 AM

Curses aren't real.

Scott Pilgrim 04-04-2011 11:24 AM

its not like he can get hurt when there is not a season

Aaaaaannnnd..... boom goes the dynamite.

Bowser 04-04-2011 11:27 AM

And realistically, Rodgers will get the cover. Super Bowl MVP, and all that.

steve_minor 04-04-2011 11:40 AM

I will admit ... I believe Rodgers will get the cover ... but this is a lot more fun than having them pick and then announcing it.

Go Charles!!!!!

DBOSHO 04-04-2011 12:21 PM

Why isnt Tom representing the Patriots?

salame 04-04-2011 12:32 PM

vick

007 04-04-2011 12:33 PM

You know it will be Aaron Rogers no matter what.

Thig Lyfe 04-04-2011 01:17 PM

It would be hilarious if ****ing Danny Woodhead were on the cover of Madden.

Shaid 04-04-2011 02:20 PM

I'm voting for Charles all the way until the finals and then I'll vote against him. Of course I know he's not making it past Rodgers so it doesn't matter. Just nice to see a Chiefs player getting recognition.

Both of them had down years last year.

A) Fitzgerald wasn't on the cover last year, it was the year before
B) Fitzgerald is still absolutely awesome, he just has no quarterback
C) Brees wasn't as spectacular last year as he was in 2009, but he still had a good year. It was definitely not a "cursed" year.

Mama Hip Rockets 04-08-2011 04:39 PM

Update: Charles is currently losing 59% to 41%, according to Madden's facebook page.

Chief fan 04-10-2011 09:59 AM

Voting ends tomorrow and Charles could use some votes.

Ebolapox 04-10-2011 11:10 AM

eh, I don't care either way.

Thig Lyfe 04-10-2011 11:24 AM

I wonder if they secured contracts with everybody in the tournament already? If not, I could see a guy winning but not ending up on the cover because they couldn't agree to a deal.

Ebolapox 04-10-2011 11:54 AM

I mean, how in the **** is peyton ****ing hillis beating jamaal ****ing charles?

You wouldnt think its stupid if Jamaals leg snapped like a piece of celery in the first game of the year.

I will agree that the Madden curse was real for several years. But curses are made to be broken. And Larry Fitzgerald and Drew Brees have broken it, among others.

Old Dog 04-11-2011 01:04 PM

JC is gone, may the "curse" live on

He lost 40% to 60%

Spott 04-11-2011 01:37 PM

Oh well. The Chiefs already have enough curses.

Thig Lyfe 04-21-2011 04:42 PM

****ing Peyton Hillis beat Aaron Rodgers and it wasn't even close. I would assume Vick will beat him in the finals, but who knows what the **** is happening with this vote. Having a white Cleveland Browns running back on the cover of Madden would be pretty hilarious.

It'll bring Al Sharpton to Gamestop too.

SDChiefs 04-21-2011 04:47 PM

Madden cover fail

bowener 04-21-2011 05:03 PM

The Browns may finally win something!

And then see their star player blow his knee out in preseason warmups.

kysirsoze 04-21-2011 05:08 PM

EA was moronic to do this. Now they are screwed either way. They should have had a smaller field of players that were all acceptable to them. Now they have a good but not great runningback for a shitty team, or they have a convicted dog fighter.

They could have easily left Vick off the list of candidates since he has already been on the cover. The PR fallout from him winning this will likely be a shitstorm for EA.

Agreed.

Its not like a ton of people have access to the votes. They could bullshit the numbers if they really wanted.

Not really. Aside from a few nutjobs, most people have put Vicks dogfighting in the past. Shit, after the Giants game comeback, he gained a LOT of fans. I would think the PR fallout from Hillis winning would be greater than if Vick won.

Buck 04-27-2011 02:42 PM

They are about to announce who won the cover on ESPN 2. 14 minutes. Both Hillis and Vick are there.

Sofa King 04-27-2011 02:45 PM

come on Hillis! White RB FTW!

Buck 04-27-2011 02:58 PM

Kerberos 04-27-2011 03:07 PM

And to think that the Donks traded Hillis off for Brady Quinn.

This is pure comedy gold all the way around.

A little salt in that gaping wound called the Denver Broncos.

ROFL ROFL

AndChiefs 04-27-2011 03:12 PM

Looks like i'll have to be dropping Hillis from my fantasy team.

Sofa King 04-27-2011 03:13 PM

Home town boy.

It's weird. He's from my home town. My mom is really tight with his family. LikE she watches Sunday games with them. And that's all totally unrelated to my connection to Trent. My NFL six degrees if separation is obviously strong.

HotRoute 04-27-2011 06:36 PM
