I just had their new Blazin' BBQ burger a few nights ago. It was pretty good.

When I was a kid riding a 10 speed my normal meal there after hanging out in the bowling alley was:

4 cheeseburgers
2 large fries (probably mediums now)
large coke
fried apple pie

I just added that up on the MD nutrition menu and that's 2420 calories. And that's counting a baked apple pie instead of the really good fried ones you can't get anymore.

The Big Mac has three pieces of bread because it's a ripoff of Bob's Big Boy burger. Bob's did it first. I've never had one so I don't know how it tastes compared to a Big Mac.

I was a big fan of Wendy's Triple Burger when I was a teenager, but I think they're illegal now.

Neither have I. Then again I didn't eat a burger until 2007. If I eat a fast-food burger, it's either from Backyard or Steak N Shake. Only because those places offer pepper jack; American cheese disgusts me on my basest level.

I've never had one of those either. Square burgers are just plain wrong. Kind of like square cut pizza. And Lemon Meringue.

Also, if I ask for it without the special sauce is it still a BM? I'm guessing the answer will be no but I think that's the reason I've never had one.

Sorry to disappoint, but pepper jack (in a burger joint) is American cheese with spice and less color added. It's a processed fast-food trick to make you think it's better than it is.

you kidding!?! whopper is hands down the best. you just have to know how to work BK to get a good burger. If you want a freshly made to order burger you HAVE to make it a special to order one. Such as cheese w/ bacon, no onion, no pickles. I shit you not you're burger HAS to be made to order and it'll be nice and hot once you get it. If you just order a whopper that's on the menu then you're getting one thats been sittin under heat lamps. Big Macs are not made to order and they sit under the heat lamps till one is ordered. You simply can't have it your way with McDonalds unlike BK.

anytime I've ordered with no onions, no pickles McD's always leave them on. Even when I was a kid I used to order cheeseburgers plain (no toppings just cheese) and they'd come with onions, ketchup, and mustard. Then you have to go inside and make them get it right.

Not a fan of big macs, used to like whoppers....but the best for me is backyard burgers. To each his own I guess.

I've had a Bic Mac. They were OK for shitty, cheap fast food burgers I suppose. Back when they were cheap. I stopped going to McD's entirely several years ago though.

McDonalds food is shit. It's pure shit. I'm not a picky eater by any means.

The only palatable option at McD's is the Angus burger. The meat is noticeably more realistic.

This guy is superdouble lucky, he got to eat all of those sesame seed morsels and was blessed w/ beautiful hair.

Last year I tried a little experiment. I didn't allow my two younger children to eat at McD's for six months. During that time I let them eat Subway, Arby's (three times), Togo's (once), In-N-Out Burger (four times) and Papa Murphy's (maybe five times). Out of those they had Subway the most, probably ten times over six months. So we at fast food about once a week.

Then, at the end of the six months, I took them to McD's for lunch. My son (14) had a Big Mac combo meal. My daughter (16) had a specialty chicken sandwich combo meal. The food was so disgusting that they couldn't finish it. At one point my son pulled the "cheese" out of his burger and asked me what it was made of. I told him I didn't know and he looked like he was going to puke. They didn't eat again until Dinner, they had lost their appetite. They've never wanted to go back since.

So...if you find yourself thinking that McDonalds food is pretty good, try skipping it for a while and eating something else. Mix in some fresh stuff and be sure to make your own hamburgers during that time period. You will most likely discover just how bad this shit is that you've gotten used to.

Do yourself a favor and read "Fast Food Nation", by Eric Schlosser. It has been described as "muckraking" and sensationalism but as an adult you can enjoy the story he is telling and ponder the actual situations he is bringing up. I completely stopped eating fast food for several months afterwards, and that's not a bad thing. I do occasionally pick some up, but I pay attention when I do it.

McD's is pure crap by the way. It's flattened pieces of shit, held onto a giant scab with sticky mucus, and it would taste exactly like that if McD's didn't add chemicals to distort the flavor of what you eat there.
