I think the Eagles can take VY, show him off and then trade him. Remember when they made AJ feely look good? Yeah, I think they could do that for VY. But the Chiefs? Yeah right. What does he have to offer? Football IQ? Toughness? Dude would not last in a Haley TC. Pioli and Haley would NEVER take a guy like that. You think Haley would put up with a cry baby QB? Yeah ****ing right. |

When has Vince Young ever shown that he would be happy as a backup QB?

Vince Young is a dual threat and can attack on the ground and through the air.

Easily confused with a punch defined as a "bitch move" a true sucker punch is quite a bit more complex than a simple unanounced attack. It primarily involves a closed fist contacting the soft underbelly of a person (beneath the rib cage) at a high velocity, causing the ensuing force to press upward on the victim's diaphram, leading to a sudden expulsion of air from the victim's mouth and lungs. This opening blow leaves the victim open to various other attacks, often leading to what would be called "bitch moves" becuase of the defenseless nature of the victim. |
I miss the lockout.

To me, it always seemed that Vince would get things rolling and ger pulled by Fisher....the team would crumble and go on a huge losing streak and the wonder stepped in and made Vince the starter and they went on a win streak.
I think the owner drafted him to sell tickets and fill a role and ended up displaying his talents on the field for the titans and that Fisher always wanted to try and make him into another Kerry Collins pocket passer when that's not who he was. I strongly believe that if VY gets paired with a coach that runs an offense that fits Youngs strengths (mobility, elusiveness, good instincts, decent work ethic) the team will win some games. He will probably never be a traditional passer, or win a superbowl as a teams starting quarterback...but who knows? His win loss ratio is sick, his numbers last year as a passer were respectable and he has shown improvement as a player...but he needs to show the ability to be solid mentally if he is to lock down a starting quarterbacks job in the NFL. |

Oh hell no!

no thanks, he doesn't want to be a backup, but he might be better than Cassel. Well, yes, he would be an upgrade from Cassel.

He is not mentally strong enough for Haley.
Not even close. |
No to black Uncle Rico

Vince Young? Why not go ahead and sign Kordell Stewart?
|
Do not want Vince young. No thanks.

Someone mentioned Young not being mentally strong enough for Haley. One could say Vince isn't enough of a Yes Man for Haley and it would mean practically the same thing. Haley wants someone to follow orders, that's why Cassel's never going anywhere. With that said, I agree that Haley and Young could never coexist, and there's no point in bringing him in for a look. |
BRING HIM IN FOR A LOOK

I was expecting a Truefan onslaught, but I didn't expect this.
There is a reason I didn't expect this: It's pretty ****ing stupid. |

Any QB that isnt a 'yes man' for his coach needs to go sell insurance.

If one's definition for being mentally tough enough to be QB under Haley is to run every play he says, every time, even if his instincts tell him Haley is wrong, and then taking the heat for both his own mistakes AND coaches, that qualifies as "mentally tough" to me. It certainly wouldn't be relaxing. |
