If he starts next season, we need to change his name to Cassputin.

3 years wasted the moment pioli traded for him

and I have no reason to believe that pioli isn't still madly in love with him and plans on him starting next year...i've seen nothing that says pioli has a ****ing clue about QBs...

Wow. Never thought of it in the "Carlton Gray" context... :banghead:

Or the "Victor Bailey" context... :deevee:

agreed.
on the day this trade was made i took the Backlash from Hell at the Coalition because i said this would go down as a Trade worse than Scott Mitchell to the Lions back in the 90's.

I'm just amazed that people think he won't be our starter next season.

In Pioli's mind Cassel was good enough to win the division in 2010. Why would he throw away another shot at the division in 2012 by starting a rookie?

You're just too absolute man. There's all sorts of reasons why he wouldn't bring Cassel back...

For all we know, he gets an infection in his surgically-repaired hand, ala Peyton Manning, and can't play next year...

i'm hoping Pioli is smart enough as a GM to figure out that division title had more to do with a cupcake schedule than good play from his quarterback.

the Talking Can 11-21-2011 05:18 PM

i wish i could send a link to this thread to Cassel in post-op....

You can bring back Cassel and draft a QB that's what i suspect will happen.

Bane 11-21-2011 05:23 PM

Cassel starts from day 1 no matter who we draft or bring in next year. The end.

Bane 11-21-2011 05:25 PM

Matter of fact in surprised we haven't extended him already.

Matt Cassel is Pioli's man, just letting him go like that would be slapping himself in the face.... It's not gonna happen people, I see Cassel as your starting QB for atleast the next 2 seasons.

Make sure you wear gloves when you continue to stir the shit. Although, you probably have all the diseases you can contract from feces, being a raiders fan and all.

Never mind. Carry on...

If that happens, I'll burn every bit of Chiefs garb I own. There's no way in hell I'll ever watch Cassel play another down for this team.

Maybe he'll start next year, but the cost benefit analysis is going to result in a restructuring of his contract, if they elect to restructure they'll draft or sign his replacement. Restructuring indicates that he hasn't preformed to the level of his contract. Hence, they look elsewhere.

2 seasons? You must have gone crazy from syphilis.

R8RFAN 11-21-2011 05:42 PM

also sometimes I am trolling, I admit it but this ois one of those times that I am not...

Cassel will be the starting QB for atleast 2 more seasons unless Haley is fired and they bring in a coach that has more control.

Well friend then you may as well make alternate plans for next season and beyond because I honestly think Cassel is your man unless one of those backups absolutely burn the house down for the rest of the year.

I don't see the Chiefs taking a QB in the 1st either.

Stone cold truth hurts and I am sorry if I am pissing on the Palko parade but these are the facts... Pioli loves Cassel and will not admit he made a mistake... How can you argue with a man who fills that stadium every week?

I hope the Raiders win a playoff game and then have to mortgage their future because of it...

They have to go to the AFC Championship game to lose the second first rounder

I don't see the Chiefs taking a QB in the 1st either.

I think I've already settled on just rooting on my 2nd favorite team(whoever is playing Dallas) for the near future. If they don't at least try to draft a QB in the first round this year, then it's obvious they don't give a shit about ever winning.

whoman69 11-21-2011 05:51 PM

Teflon Matt played himself out of a job. People from foreign countries are laughing at him. I don't know why everyone wants to get all lathered up and think he's coming back. Any rational human being can see he sucks. Donald Trump doesn't have the ego we are attributing to Scott Pioli. Pioli is already in line for tar and feathering. If he brings Cassel back they'll go straight to the noose. Two more seasons of Cassel might start rioting that will burn Arrowhead to the ground and lime the field afterwards.

It's all about money and the stadium sells out every week... I wouldn't change if I were the Chiefs owner, hell look at the business side of it, obviously the fans of CP are in the minority here.

:thumb: Yes, two and a half seasons flushed down the toilet with Matt Casshole starting. It is time to move on and change is very good when QB play has been so very bad.

LMAO

I don't want to hear ANYONE rationalizing the decision to bring him back if that's the case, then.

This should be the final straw against these buffoons in charge.

he will return in the same capacity that Drew Bledsoe did for Dallas before they moved on to Romo around game 6.

"Matt Cassel is in no danger of losing his job"

week 5 goes by...

"I feel we needed to make a change to spark the team, we still believe in Matt...but we needed a spark"

within the next week...

"we saw the value out there and felt Matt deserved a chance to start somewhere"....this is the statement after we trade Cassel for a 3rd round pick to an injury plagued team in need of a "quarterback"

Hammock Parties 11-21-2011 07:02 PM

That sounds plausible and is probably our best hope.

Bane 11-21-2011 07:09 PM

From Pioli's stand point it's been Matt Cassel vs the world. You can bet your ass he will be the starter next year.
