610 is good at making stuff up remember the pizza shop story .

I could honestly care less what he called it off to do instead. Your team stinks. You shouldn't be cancelling meetings to do anything non-football related unless it's an emergency of some kind. I'm NOT suggesting it happened. I have no clue whether it did or not. I said as much. "Citing an unnamed source is easy to do." |
This could be worse than Dummy realizes ...
In Western PA, "going out" means dressing up like a woman and strolling around downtown Olathe picking up guys. FAX |

Honestly. They meet all the friggin' time. Maybe he decided to give them a break from a late day meeting. Maybe he had the runs. Maybe he had a family emergency. Maybe he and Pioli decided to talk on the QT about some personnel moves. This place goes so overboard on speculation, it makes me want to be a winged radish sometimes. FAX |

Those instances suggest there might be a culture problem as it relates to preparation. So I think it becomes a bigger issue than this one instance. |

Haley says he was out for pizza w/ his wife & kids. No idea why someone would say otherwise. "I am surprised, but I guess I shouldn't be." 48 seconds ago FavoriteRetweetReply DannyParkinsDanny Parkins Haley says he didn't cancel a meeting and that he doesn't always talk to the team the night before a game. |

Parkins would like to thank everyone here for paying attention to him today. He got what he wanted with this publicity. |
There was a rumor, started by me. THat Stanzi & Powe went out saturday night and captured mini Ditka. This could implacate Haley's involement & possible double secret probation. Don't ban him

Lets say this is true(but its not) that pioli had one of his guys leak this to danny. What the hell else has pioli done to make haley FAIL if he would leak crap like this how far would pioli go?

Clearly, Pioli would short-sheet his bed and that's just for starters. We could be looking at some kind of deal where Pioli hires a gang of thugs to TP Haley's home, then blames it on local school children. FAX |

If someone is leaking stuff like this, it ain't Pioli, it's someone else in the organization who doesn't like Haley... |

I'm not sure where I should be at on this. Maybe I'll ask Michael Lombardi.

This is the exact reason why I love the Chiefs being so secretive. Some complain about Haley and his "coach speak" and how we never know anything or that they don't release any information.
What's left is crap like this that the media tries to spin into something bigger because Haley/Pioli have given them nothing to talk about. These media folks are one step above prostitution. Posted via Mobile Device |

Q: Someone from the organization offered to me that you cancelled a team meeting before the Bears game in Chicago, do you have any comments on that?
HALEY: “Really? We did not have a team meeting in Chicago, but there’s been a number of occasions where I haven’t had team meetings. They were right too, I was out, I went out with my wife and two daughters who came in for the game to have pizza but well after any internal meetings would have been or were over with.” http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/article...3-66f36dfb8741 Q: So there was no meeting scheduled and cancelled, there was just not supposed to be a meeting? HALEY: “No, we had our meetings and sometimes I choose to talk to the team and sometimes I choose not to. That goes on during the week, it goes on before the games, as a matter of fact I didn’t talk to them the night before the Steeler game either, or the morning of when we had that at least scheduled meeting. But we had our offense, defense meetings and we all just sat around and ate together and watched some college football as opposed to me talking more, which sometimes I’m sure I get talked out. Between you guys and…” |

I like what Haley's doing for this team. But it's sounding more and more like he's just fed up with the front office. |

I get the impression that people are taking Haley's "I'm surprised but I guess I shouldn't be" as him saying "I'm surprised somebody with the team would call and plant some story to smear me, but I guess I shouldn't be".
What he said actually seemed directed more to Parkins, like "I'm surprised you'd even ask me about something so stupid, but I guess I shouldn't be." |

here's my big hang-up. This is a tight-lipped organization, yet stories seem to leak out about Haley all the time by an "inside source." Pioli has to know who's feeding this information. If he's not feeding him the information, he's enabling it. If I'm Pioli, I put the fear of God in anyone who leaks this information (you have to, if you're being tight-lipped about everything else). And I go to the press and relentlessly defend my head coach. Instead, all we hear is a rehearsed speech about how he and Haley actually get along. |

Nick Wright spent like a freaking hour talking about this last night and how (in his opinion) it's blatantly obvious that the front office is smearing Haley to make him easier to fire.
In Peter King MMQB style, here's 2 things I think that I think: 1. Wright can't possibly believe that trash. He's just covering for his boy who ran with a weak and apparently untrue story. 2. Why would the front office need an excuse to fire Haley? A "smear campaign" really only works on the fans...everybody within the organization and in the league already has an opinion of Haley. And a lame story like this isn't going to sway the opinion of very many people. If they really need ammo, just say "HE CONTINUES TO START TYLER PALKO" |
With all the secrecy that has surrounded the organization since the day Pioli was hire, it wouldn't surprise me if this rumor was leaked as a "test run" to see who blabs to the media. Lock down the leaks before the season ends and real discussions begin about whether Haley will be extended, who else they are considering, etc.
Like others have said, it's not a big deal in any event and easily disproved or denied without any impact on Haley or the organization. |
This is the biggest non-story of the year. Is that a contradiction in terms?
|
No wonder Haley doesn't have time to shave. He's busy eatin pizza, slamming beers and getting his mac on like the rest of us.

At this point, I don't really care if he goes out for pizza every saturday.
The season is over, most of the best players are hurt, the offense sucks and 3 defenders will probably make the probowl. |
