Happy with the Odom trade.
Mavs have a lot of depth now at SF and SG. |

Vince Carter is a much better player on this team than Butler, sorry.
Odom is not playing center, as it is our forward rotation just got much stronger. We will miss Chandler, but I think with Carter, Odom and Rudy Fernandez we will be more of an offensive team this year. |

BTW, you guys just traded Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer to Denver for a 2nd round pick. |
Yeah well....we have DIRK.

Butler was playing lights out for the Mavs last year. Had he not gotten hurt I think they would have cruised to the title. Carter is not close to an upgrade.
|
I think Dallas did lose something in the offseason but they will still be in contention.

OAKLAND, Calif.—The Golden State Warriors have completed a trade sending forward Lou Amundson to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for guard Brandon Rush. The teams announced the trade Monday. Rush averaged 8.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in three seasons for the Pacers. Indiana considered him a part of the core group of young players, but the team eventually added enough talent at his position to make him expendable. Rush showed great potential at times but also found trouble. He was suspended for five games last season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Amundson has averaged 4.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in five seasons, primarily with Philadelphia, Phoenix and Golden State. He has shot 52 percent from the field for his career. Brandon Rush is a Warrior. |
Not quite the NFL off-season fervor is it?

Anybody watch any of that Clippers game last night? Oh my goodness. If they stay healthy, watch out. Biggest surprise was Chauncey; he's going to get a ton of open looks. I could see him leading the league in made 3s. Biggest issue I'd think is front court depth, but they're going to be really fun to watch.
