We'll see in 5 years. I bet Haley is coaching another team, and has them in the playoffs, before the Chiefs get to the playoffs again. As has been said, if you don't try to stick with a guy and ride it out, you end up tearing it all down before you've even built it up.

Ultimately I just didn't see anything so horrific from Haley that he needed to be fired and for the rebuilding process to start over again. There are many problems with the Chiefs. Cheap ownership. A general manager who increasingly looks like he's in over his head. No quality starting QB. Injuries. And yet Haley gets run out of town? Everyone says that the Chiefs made the playoffs last year on a weak schedule, and that a step back may have been expected even before the injuries, and then with the injuries many expected a collapse, and as expected it happened. And yet Haley gets run out of town? Makes very little sense to me.

When Pioli and Haley are considered, there are four possible outcomes:

1.) Haley was a good coach but Pioli's still the problem. Chiefs blew it and now have to rebuild with another coach who may not be as good.

2.) Haley was a sucky coach and Pioli's still the problem. Chiefs blew it and are now still stuck with Pioli, who will continue to **** things up.

3.) Pioli is good, but so was Haley. Chiefs blew it because they dumped a good coach, and now have to find another coach and rebuild.

4.) Pioli is good, but Haley was a sucky coach. Chiefs made the right move.

I bet, if Chiefs fans are polled, most would pick 1, many would pick 2, a few would pick 3, and very few would pick 4.

We aren't cheap. The Bills are cheap.
