3. Rams
4. Panthers
5. Redskins
6. Browns
7. Dolphins
8. Jaguars
9. Buccaneers
10. Chiefs

I believe ESPN uses the current games played for SOS while the site in the threadstarter is based on SOS including games not played yet.

Steve Young only completed 53% of his passes his first two years in the league and he retired with the highest career completion percentage in NFL history.

Chance that teams that are possibly looking to QB:

1 Indianapolis 0-13 .548 no-brainer they get Luck
2 Minnesota 2-11 .567 doubtful with Webb and Ponder
3 St. Louis 2-11 .582 still doubt they would do this with Bradford
4 Washington 4-9 .457 probably, but will Shanahan go rookie with his job on the line or is he already gone
5/6F Jacksonville 4-9 .505 doubtful, but is Gabbart passing his tryout
5/6F Carolina 4-9 .505 no chance
7 Miami 4-9 .524 You really think they'd stick with Moore
8 Cleveland 4-9 .529 Probably, but could try to surround McCoy with more talent
9 Tampa Bay 4-9 .538 not likely
10 Philadelphia 5-8 .490 despite the media hype, they can't give up on Vick with the money they're paying
11 Buffalo 5-8 .514 too many dollars in Fitzgerald
12 Kansas City 5-8 .524 if they don't, they're stupid

Elway didn't know he wasn't supposed to throw the ball as hard as he could every play. He needed to learn touch. Young played for the Bucs and was running for his life the whole time. Tebow just can't throw.

Tebow complete 3/7 passes on that drive to get you fellas in position to kick a FG that would have never gone in outside of Denver's thin air. He did so against a team that lost to Tyler !@#$ing Palko last week.

Good point - never EVER give Tyler Palko a chance to beat you...

I'll give you credit; you're the best homer/troll I've ever seen.

It isn't about stats with Tebow. He is a playmaker. When the play breaks down Tebow is already the best in the league at turning something out of nothing.

How many of those QB's could do this?

And Tebow has yet to have an offseason where he got the lions share of the reps. Elway is going to work with Tebow personally all offseason to improve his footwork and is going to teach Tebow everything he knows. You are going to be amazed at how much better Tebow looks next year.

He can throw. He completed 18-24 passes for 190 yards against the Bears in the 4th quarter and overtime and absolutely shredded the Vikings the week before with beautiful, accurate deep balls.

He is good but Tebow is a threat to run and pass. Tebow is a defensive coordinators' worst nightmare when he gets outside the pocket.

I wish I had a gif of the screen pass Tebow threw about 10 feet above his receivers head.

How many great QBs can accomplish that?

How can this team even suck at being bad? The Chiefs are worse than all but maybe 3 or 4 teams on that list and somehow we're going to be picking behind them.

This has to be one of the 5 hardest teams in sports to root for.

Because we fell ass backwards into multiple teams coming off of QB injuries/changes. We've beaten one team with a starting QB this year, and that took a once-every-twenty years stroke of "luck" to do so.

This should be a 1-2 win team, max.

Direckshun 12-13-2011 03:09 PM

We pretty much have to trade up for a QB of our choice.

We'd be Charlie Brown trying to kick the football if we didn't.

We should be above the Bills. They beat us.

As far as potential trades go, maybe we could work one with the Jags.

Why would the Chiefs have to move up to the 2 to grab RG3?

Yeah, but the Vikings and Jags each have 1st round QBs on the roster. I doubt they'd give up on them that quickly. I don't know how the Browns feel about McCoy, but they're too risky.

Makes it easier to take a flyer on Tannehill, if he's still on the board.

Ohwell. There's no sense in getting in a bidding war with someone over the #2 pick when the next team who would likely take RG3 is 3 picks away.

Doubt that. Barkley is going back to school. Indications are that Jones will likely go back aswell. There's only 2-3 QB's with a first round grade left. Luck/RG3 will be taken early. If Tannehill does make it to the second he'll be scooped up by Cleveland/Washington/Seattle/Miami long before the Chiefs step up to the plate.

I think if the chiefs get a real HC in here and not a yes man they may force pioli into drafting a QB.

Memory serves he was the starter going in and lost the job, thus his reps. Elway has too many duties to serve as QB coach. I'm sure he'll pitch in where he can, but with the difference in skill set, that's going to be a tough call.

He has improved from earlier in the season, but he still disappears for big parts of the ballgame as the Broncos try to hide his shortcomings. He may have completed 67% in college but he isn't playing The Citadel anymore. He's less than 50% with the big boys. He was 18-24 against a cover one defense that left big gaps in front. Even with that he 3 of 15 up to that point. He had only 6 completions going into the fourth quarter against the Pats. They only trusted him to throw the ball 8 times against the Chiefs and lulled the defense to sleep with a deep ball after running 51 times. Many teams have shredded the Vikings, even Matt Cassel.

updated as of now.

We could move up to 8 with a Fins win. It will all depend on the final SOS. I wouldn't trust the Jags to not draft a QB despite having one last year as poor as Gabbert has looked. Wonder if they would consider taking Cassel and our pick to let us move up. Really there are only 2 sure first round picks available, 3 if Landry Jones decides to come out. Taking Tannehill in round one would be a big reach. You don't waste 2nd or 3rd round talents in the first round even if it is a position of need.

Damn how long did I nap for? I wake up and all of a sudden RG one-hundred and eleven is draft eligable!

In all seriousness though I agree with you. No matter where you sit, odds are the #2 spot is going to be where RG3 goes, if not then #3. Either you trade up to get him or have a different plan. Expecting or hoping for him to fall is useless.
