The point is the Donks don't have anyone like Jamaal Charles or Dwayne Bowe on their offense.

If it's any consolation, I just want you all to know, I like you the way you are so don't go changin.

Look at it this way.
Pioli left the Pats organization to get out of the shadow of BB. (A matter of wanting credit and recognition as well as control.) Why would he sign Peyton and then be back under a shadow, getting no credit if we have success in the years Peyton's playing, as well as handing over a level of control to PM? |

So, fugg him. He's old and broke with one foot out the door. He's a two year player barring injury at best. He would have been exciting at least be he's no answer for us, just hides our problem for the next two years. |

This - Peyton Manning not being willing to even visit with arguably the most talented team wishing to court him - this is the moment we realize that the front office is the problem.
Why wouldn't he want to play here? The roster is fine. It's the coaching staff upwards that don't look attractive to a QB. Are we surprised that Peyton Manning doesn't want to play for a head coach that washed out of cleveland and an offensive coordinator that washed out of Miami, and GM that fired an offensive coordinator during camp and spent all last year undermining his head coach? Why would we be? You can see Manning visiting KC and Denver and then deciding that Denver was a better fit for him. That wouldn't raise eyebrows. What raises eyebrows is that there is something about this team from the coaching staff up that makes a quality free agent dismiss Kansas City out of hand. That is a huge problem. |

That's why the call-in shows are STILL talking about Manning days after we've been reportedly eliminated, right? |

There's one SURE way to eliminate that response and make sure it never appears again. Guess what that is? Oh yeah, WIN A PLAYOFF GAME. |

But yeah, the front office here is a mess. |
Talks pretty much fell through when Pioli insisted on bugging Manning's cell phone.

Nick Wright was reporting that main reason why we didn't get a meeting w/ Manning is because Tom Condon has a beef w/ Pioli because of him low balling his clients. Now the Chiefs are desperate and are sending in Len Dawson to change his mind I guess.
Who on the Chiefs currently is represented by Condon? And if this is true.....I can't be surprised by this at all. I've said all along that the reason why we wouldn't get Manning was because of the incompetence of our GM/front office...including Hunt. |

Condon is based in KC. Hell, he was a former Chief, and one would have to think he kinda has some knowledge as to how this organization operates from a front office standpoint. Secondly, this is the first time that Manning's had to deal with FA. You would think that Manning ultimately calls the shots, as do all players theoretically, but you can't say that his agent doesn't have any input at all. |

He only has a a bad rep to those of you who are immature bastards and don`t understand a damn thing. Or to those of you who just want to bitch to bitch. Your right small minds are not going to like or understand him like alot of you. Yes cassels a big mistake & haley but beyond that nothing to cry about.

was listening to Colin on the Herd earlier and a Chiefs fan called in on the Manning Sweepstakes saying "he thought Manning was a better fit in KC" and he didnt understand Peyton leaning towards Denver.
Colin replied with but KC dont have an Elway. he also said the Todd Haley situation didnt help the Chiefs chances either. |
