Naturally Hochfailar with the lead off walk! Here's goes the big inning! Giving the runs right back! Pull him now Ned! /our side of the arguement

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 06:11 PM

Just how out can a base stealer be?.... that out.

shorman22 07-14-2012 06:11 PM

Think about are future lineup

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 06:11 PM

HemiEd 07-14-2012 06:12 PM

Perez is my favorite player, period.

I'd be surprised is Gio is around for the future.

I'll still take Escobar. But it's nice to finally have some choices on this team

Never fear, Perez is here.

shorman22 07-14-2012 06:14 PM

True but that could easily be next year lineup

Gio has done something to turn the Royals off. Not sure we will ever know what it is

I have a lot of love for Escobar, no doubt. Perez is just awesome, totally cool.

Sucking would be my guess. That only flys for Frenchy and Betancourt.

Shogun 07-14-2012 06:15 PM

I'd rather have getz than gio for the future

I don't think he has been batting or fielding poorly in Omaha. At least that's what I thought I heard them say on the radio a few days ago

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 06:18 PM

Anyone else watching the WGN coverage? I am always interested in hearing the opponent's broadcasters.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 06:18 PM

I think Yuni is "blocking" him. IOTW, after he is dealt at the deadline, Gio will be back up.

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 06:18 PM

I really think in a couple of years time our second basemen will be someone not currently with the club... unless Colon gets his poop in a group. Sadly Getz is probably the best option we currently have.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 06:19 PM

I haven't heard that. It would be encouraging.

Yes. See the first 2 posts of the thread.

Dyson runs up and leaps to make the catch

tk13 07-14-2012 06:45 PM

That ball was destroyed. Holy crap. That was deep.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 06:46 PM

LEAVE HIM IN TOO LONG NED

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 06:46 PM

Time to hit the pen, Ned.

tk13 07-14-2012 06:47 PM

459 feet. That's probably one of the longest HR's in Kauffman history. I think the record is still 475 by Bo Jackson.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 06:47 PM

NNNNNNEEEEDDDDDDDDD

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 06:47 PM

Haha. Ned reads CP. Or is super sensitive about leaving his starters in after last night.

I didn't listen to the radio today, but they usually tear him up over his bonehead moves

Shogun 07-14-2012 06:50 PM

@Royals_Report

#Royals LH pitching prospect Mike Montgomery has allowed five runs through six innings in first start since demotion to Northwest Arkansas.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 06:51 PM

Moose's catches look like a good skeet shot

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 06:55 PM

Crow gives up a triple. Tied up at 3's

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 06:55 PM

I don't see much live Royals action but it seems like every time I do Crow comes in and shits himself.

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 06:56 PM

Hawk Harrelson talking about how the Royals are out drawing the Sox this year lol.

Crow seems to be his best when he throws 1 inning every 3 or 4 days

He's been surprisingly calm tonight and not as annoying as usual. There's a "he gone" though.

KCUnited 07-14-2012 07:04 PM

Add that to the 610 free out montage.

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 07:04 PM

You really have to try to walk Frenchy. Well done.

tk13 07-14-2012 07:05 PM

Francoeur's tremendous patience earns him another walk.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 07:05 PM

Too bad they tried to steal Moose.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 07:05 PM

Let's see the replay Eddie

How did francoeur not score there? wtf?

Perez initially thought that was gone.

I'm watching the gamecast at work - with two outs he should have been running. On a double, he couldn't score from first?

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 07:09 PM

I'd say Frenchy's speed has dropped off just a bit from last year

He may indeed have crapped his pants between 1st and 3rd but once he was there, holding him up was the right call.

I would venture to guess that Myers speed in right would be worth quite a few runs over the course of a year. And his arm is comparable to Frenchy's.

KCUnited 07-14-2012 07:10 PM

Moose would've scored easily.

I'm at the game and it looked like he had plenty of time to score, but I'm in the seats in left field so I probably don't have the best perspective.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 07:11 PM

Watching the replay, he would have been gunned down.

I just know the Sox did a good job hitting the cutoff and Frenchy was just rounding 3rd as they did. A decent throw would have nailed him. Frenchy is probably just slower than he used to be.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 07:18 PM

Dunn must have found the roids again

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 07:19 PM

Gonna go through the whole pen again tonight.

At least the pen should be pretty fresh coming off the break even being used last night.

Escobar, power hitter.
