its getting to the point with O Connell that i have to accept he wont die and its sort of if you cant beat em join em

I am really close to hopping on the O Connell bandwagon just to watch that scrub survive every roster cut

Lightrise 09-11-2012 02:06 PM

There has to be something in the water at Arrowhead. There is ALWAYS 1 guy that hangs on forever that doesn't belong. Like Bartee. Why why why on big Jake?

CoMoChief 09-11-2012 02:07 PM

WTF?

How is O'Connell still on this team ROFL

The only players from that 2009 class that should still be here are Succop and Jackson.

Dude....

Exactly what has Sheffield ever done to deserve a roster spot?

mcaj22 09-11-2012 02:14 PM

what has Jake O Connell done?

or Jaques Reeves?

Bartee was a damn starter for a while too. Mr. I Never Ever Turn My Head Around To Locate The Ball Bartee. Great player for us....

here's a list of the plays schmecklefield has made in the nfl:

I only meant that's he's a white guy at RB or FB. It wasn't literal comparison of skill. Woodhead is much better.

ROFL what the **** has O'Connell done?

Not to mention we're set at the TE position.

Can't really say the same for the OLB position, that and Studebaker sucks. Remember this is only the start of Sheff's 2nd season.

This is like saying Sabby Piscatelli was our best safety last season.

3rd season he missed his entire rookie year.

wasn't he drafted in 2010, but missed that entire year?

If so it's really the start of his 2nd full season (which is what i said), being that his first season 2010 was virtually no season at all due to injury.

BossChief 09-11-2012 03:45 PM

Haha

I kept seeing #27 out of position and thought it was Donald Washington.

Seems Elam isn't much better in coverage...at least in this game anyway.

Elam and Travis Daniels playing 2 of the 3 safeties in sub packages makes McGraw and Sabby look like a pro bowl duo.

I dont like that they use Berry in the "McGraw LBer safety" role in sub packages and Daniels and Elam in the back end. Berry needs to be back because these other turds have no range to pick up the zones

Sofa King 09-11-2012 04:00 PM

I just don't have it in me to blow up over some shitty backup. All our backups suck... Fighting over which backup sucks more is pointless.

I totally agree.

It's a shame Menzie got hurt...he could use this experience.

O.city 09-11-2012 04:58 PM

Berry needs to be the ballhawk but he's so good against the run they want him up there. We should have targeted a big tackling safety to be up in the box

boogblaster 09-11-2012 05:05 PM

McGraw shoulda been kept as a field general .. guy didnt have the speed but had the brain .....

philfree 09-11-2012 05:36 PM

Has this been confirmed by any other source yet. Gretz hasn't posted it and the Chiefs haven't either.

Chiefaholic 09-11-2012 07:38 PM

Eachus will likely hit the practice squad after week 6 (or whatever the date is) to take the place of Hillis next season. Sheffield showed hints of playmaker ability prior to injury, but hasn't done jack since. We still have 7 LB's on this team, all of which play a larger role than Sheffield.

And with the 3rd pick in the 2013 draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select.....

Iowa plays a 4-3. They don't have any 5T defensive ends, thank God. :)

LSU played a 4-3, IIRC.

Never put it past Pioli to take a guy and turn him into a 5-tech.

Sorter 09-11-2012 09:27 PM

Well, most colleges don't run a 3-4. Naturally, you're going to have to convert 4-3 DTs into 3-4 DEs.

mcaj22 09-11-2012 09:30 PM

pioli loves taking big clown turds that played DT in college and thinking he can mold them into the next Dick Seymour in the 34 at the NFL level.

in fact I think that's some sort of fetish for him

and he likes to try to find the next Mark Bavaro because he drafts a TE every other ****ing season.

Either a LT to replace Albert or a corner to replace Carr/Routt.

Some of that is a function of recruiting.

Iowa's defensive TACKLES aren't big enough to be 3-4 ends, let alone their ends. :p

Alot of colleges run 3-man fronts whether it's 3-4 or 3-3-5 (more common in non-BCS conferences).

There's also alot of schools than run 2-gap schemes, even with a 4-man front.

Bump 09-12-2012 09:02 AM

my question is why isn't Pioli on the ****ing phone to try to find a CB or safety to trade for? Didn't Malcom Jenkins want to be traded? ****, sometimes you gotta make a ****ing move.

Thats not possible! He was too valuable to cut teams should have been lining up for him!/CP

I wish they would cut O'Connell for 2 reasons. 1 we don't need him and 2 to laugh when he gets claimed by a team.
