It's ****ing depressing to think that an entire cycle of draft picks is coming to and end and they did jack shit.

Jackson, Hali, Flowers, etc all take a nice bump in contract to reach that cap spending for 2013. of course Jackson could be cut like Cassel, but the point remains Pioli positioned that 14 million hit so he doesnt have to do much spending other than his bargin bin FAs. And before you even say anything about the owner spending 14 million on Jackson, Pioli sold Clark on spending 60 million on Matt Cassel, so dont tell me he cant sell Clark on using a 14 million hit on Jackson and him being a 3rd overall pick as reason to keep him around. Because he can, because its Fat Scott Ego Pioli. |
I wouldn't mind keeping Tyson Jackson next year and see how he does in a 1 gap only if he does a major restructuring deal.
He's got power and a little speed. Maybe a new system could do him good. If he stays for like 5 million and it doesn't work, then cut him. |

If you can't get him to sign for league min, you move on. IMO |

You don't agree with me. You think Tyson Jackson deserves credit for that sack. And you got caught with your pants down, and now you're backpedaling. |

He needs to go somewhere and be a backup. |

He most definitely deserves credit for a sack that he made. There was never a back pedal anywhere dipshit Posted via Mobile Device |
Amazing how a stiff top pick who has been a bust suddenly comes to life as he nears the end of a contract.

It's not that Tyson Jackson's a bad player. The problem is that extending his contract is a telltale sign that we're committing to 2-gap, because I don't see how he fits in to a 1-gap.

I find it hilarious that people are arguing about the 3rd overall pick's SECOND sack of the season.
I also find it hilarious that people take the time to defend the guy. The 3rd overall pick is supposed to be an elite player - a difference maker in the mold of a Calvin Johnson, Von Miller, AJ Green or Andre Johnson. Instead, people sit around and argue over whether his 2nd sack was due to effort or coverage. The guy isn't even an average player. Period. He wouldn't be living up to his draft slot had he been picked at the end of the 1st round, where many of us thought be belonged. Sadly, four years into the Pioli regime with 3 Top 11 picks, we've yet to land a true IMPACT player. Houston might turn into that guy. Might. That's as close as we've gotten, folks. Pathetic. |
We are a sad, sad group of pitiable fans, to be sure.
I, for one, am extremely proud of Tyson's second sack. God bless you, Tyson Jackson and your sack. In other news, I just listened to Roleo's 12/7 presser. I was, frankly, astonished and amazed. Roleo actually sounded lucid. I interpret this as an additional sign that the end is near. FAX |
In other news J.J. Watt is a ****ing God among boys.

Tyson is okay, but you expect more than "okay" from a top draft pick.

Tyson Jackson is playing some monster football.

All you have to do is read the title of the article and know it's a bunch of crap.
I can count on 1 hand the # of good games played by Tyson Jackson That's terrible for a #3 overall pick...no matter which way you look at it. |

Berry was the right choice. Fluke injury because of a POS cheapshot. Hopefully he returns to form next year.

Pretty sure TJ ****ed the OP's mom and girl at the same time - only explanation for the jealously. And gotta love the PFF stats - once PFF is brought up, you know the arguments already lost.

The only argument for TJ at this point is based on football ignorance. If you actually watch him play on passing downs he's a big fat turd. Same as he's always been. |

I really don't blame Pioli for drafting Dorsey. He was also the consensus pick at the time. Why didn't he develop? Is that on Pioli or Dorsey? Either way the bottom line is that the GM has to fall on that sword. Now the Jackson pick is totally different. Most mock's had him at the bottom of the first round, at best. When you take a consensus bottom first rounder with the 3rd pick of the draft, you had better be right. |
