Good thoughts headed your way. Sorry that you and your wife have to go through this. My wife had a miscarriage a few years back and that was hard enough. I can't imagine.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Same thing happened to my friend just over a year ago. They just gave birth to a healthy boy recently. Time heals everything. Look after your wife and all the best to your family.

We went through the exact same thing at 18 months in 2011. Our (at the time) 3 year old son was with us when we found out, as it was the day we were going to find out if he had a little brother or sister (he had guessed right btw - was a brother). We didn't find out about Downs until after the fact, much less know that most don't make it through the pregnancy. I wish the experience gave me some words of wisdom to share, but all I can say is that the Lord will get you through.

Thank you to everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts. It certainly helped me and my wife get through the last 48 hours.

That experience isn't something I'd wish on anyone. It's the most gut wrenching time of my life and I've certainly had a lot to compare it to.

Baby was delivered at 4 AM this morning. Doctor's estimated that it had been dead for 1-2 weeks.

PA law says we had to either have a burial or a cremation. Thankfully, my friend is an undertaker and my aunt works for him so they are taking care of the cremation part.

My wife held very tough and she's the toughest person I'll ever meet. I'm so thankful for her and my 3-year old.

This experience has changed me forever.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that we can grieve and heal.

I didn't see this until just now. I'm so sorry for you guys that this happened. My wife and I went through two miscarriages between our #1 and #2. Very tough times...especially the second which was further along than the first miscarriage. I know that helpless feeling you've got...it sucks. My prayers go out to your family.
