Welcome to the first season of Pest's Morphine sponsored Chiefs football.
16 games of me being numb the entire time. |

Well, aside from laughter that they continue to make moves that are this silly. So I guess I get some humor out of them. |
We ****ed up.
I love retreads |

You know, ones that convert more than 17% of 3rd downs and average 300+ yards a game and, ya know, wins more than 2 games against opponents who score three touchdowns/.. |

Please. Just because it isnt exactly what we want, doesnt mean they arent trying to win. |

Alex Smith is not a "trying to win" kind of move.
|
KC doesn't draft QBs. KC dont want no QBs.

They make it very, very hard to watch. Football is supposed to be entertaining... |
I don't think htismaqe is coming back now.

With Jim Tomsula coaching him, I'd say it's fair bet. |

Deep down you know as far as your football team goes, you know that this is a ****ing disaster. It has nothing to do with controlling of emotions or the team putting you in a bad mood ect ect. This shit dosnt effect my personal life in a negative way at all. I just know when this team ****ed up. |

Sorry, but, Alex Smith is not a "trying to win" move. 8-8 is not winning. Winning is having a chance at the Super Bowl. Something this team is at least another four years away from because of this moronic trade. |
Welcome to Kansas City Alex.

So are the Chiefs going to turn him into the "new wave" RGIII? If not? I doubt this play has a thing to do with his tenure in KC. |
Pioli was on NFL network talking about how much this years draft was like his first in KC and not having any real choices for QB.

I don't think Alex is going to be here long enough to win over many fans. They aren't going to have the flame wars over Alex the 49er boards had. |

I don't think this necessarily rules out Geno, obviously puts it as unlikely, but I don't see Chase Daniels being a #2. Hopefully he learned something in New Orleans from Drew Brees, but obviously these are very underwhelming Quarterback acquisitions. I'm not looking at our FA signings so far as anything spectacular: Anthony Fasano comes off as Kevin Boss only a bit better, I don't know a whole lot about Devito except that I liked his uncle in Twins, unless they bring in a tackle, I'd pretty much say that locks it up for the number 1 pick, especially if we're still pursuing DRC or Sean Smith.

Ole Mitch Holthus really talked up Alex Smith this afternoon.

I really can't get excited over these lazy and uninspired moves. All of this crap has been done here so many times and just ended up producing the same old results.
Grats Chiefs on your brilliant capture of a 9-7 season. |
....and I'm officially checked out. Same shit, different day. :banghead:

Hearing that KC might ask QB Alex Smith to restructure his contract for a little cap room. No cut, just shift. |

The Chiefs are so excited by this trade they aren't promoting it on their website.

BREAKING NEWS: DORSEY OFFERS NEW ENGLAND THEIR 2013 3RD ROUND PICK TO TAKE QB MATT CASSEL

We gave up a 2nd round pick for a game manger!!!! How any Chiefs fan can look at Smith and see something other than a slightly improved version of Cassel is beyond me; and don't get me started on Chase Daniels -JFC we already had him on our team..he wore number 9 and started half our games last year!!!!!!
|
I'm still not understanding all the beef on Alex Smith? Yes I wasn't happy with the trade AT FIRST. But then I was looking at his stats from the beginning of last year... HE WAS ****ING NUMBER 1 before his injury!
|
The only real beef is compensation. He won a playoff game. And almost had SF in the Super Bowl and they were 6-2-1 when he got his concussion

Nice, so what's your evidence of Alex Smith being a "polished" Matt Cassel? #Roasted |
Alex Smith "led" his team to the NFC Championship the same way that Mark Sanchez "led" his team to the AFC Championship.

I just don't see what we're going to do without our second round pick and if we can't trade down. If you only have Chase Daniels and Alex Smith on the roster by the time the draft rolls around you have to think one of our picks will be spent on a QB (More than likely a fourth round selection). I think we really screwed ourselves by giving up that second round pick, especially if we can't trade down to pick it back up.

Smith hasn't had a major injury since he had his shoulder rebuilt in 2008 he played in 26 consecutive games in the last 2 seasons until he had his concussion, started every game in 2011, and has taken some monster hits and gotten back up and still played,so in essence you really don't know that much about Smith or his durability. people are going to be surprised by this guy he has a chip on his shoulder and I have no doubt he wants to prove dumping him was a big mistake. |
