Since we haven't actually consummated with Alex Smith is it too late to get the trade annulled?

Or how much would this place explode if the niners took geno with our pick?:D

I'm still excited to see what Geno does in the NFL. But I'm surprised how far he's fallen. I get that he was always a reach at #1. But I thought for sure he'd hit in the top 15.

The funniest thing about his apparent fall is how some on here pimped this guy as the next Unitas or Montana. When the experts disagreed or anyone here disagreed they were attacked. Apparently GMs, coaches, and scouts also didn't see him as a top pick either.

I don't remember seeing a lot of Montana talk. I do remember people saying -- and many experts agreeing -- that Geno is the best QB in this draft. And that there was more than enough evidence to suggest that, in a relatively poor draft, he was worth taking a swing on at #1.

But maybe we were wrong. Maybe there are bigger issues. Should be interesting to see what he does (if anything).

Yes he was hyped. No one said he was going to be that good. No one even said he was bust proof. They said that if you want to win a superbowl, you should draft a QB, and that Geno was the best QB in the draft.

Aw bullshit. He is the best Qb on the board, which happens to be the most important position on the field. Exaggerate much?

But yeah, our team has it's proven failure in place, we are good to go.

the hell he is. He wasnt even the first qb taken in this draft. He is suspect, and not worth the risk thus far. So take that and shove it up your ass. Just because hes the best in your mind, doesnt make it so.. The professionals have spoken.

This is true. Very true, and he still could be a very good player. he just wasnt the player the chiefs needed at 1.1

AlexSmithDynasty 04-25-2013 09:07 PM

I don't hate Geno and I kinda feel bad for him just seeing him sitting there sadly in free fall but it is funny that no one wants him in the first and he wasn't even the first qb taken in a horrible qb draft after how insanely overhyped he was by the majority of people here.

It makes it hard to crap on them for not using this QB or that QB. It seems obvious the whole NFL community thinks this whole QB class is complete shit. This isn't a Chiefs thing really.

Who knows who the best will be. The fact is as of right now no expert outside of the Cult of Geno on here thought he was the best QB. This is the point of the thread. The Cult who pinned months of hope in this guy are now reaching to justify their blind faith in this guy.
