This is exactly why I don't support Reid's constant full contact practices

Foot strain, X-Rays negative. Everyone breathe.

Nick Jacobs @Jacobs71 4s
Per Andy Reid...Jamaal Charles has a foot strain. X-ray done. Negative. #Chiefs #Jamaal #Charles Great news |
Ah yes, the old..."prove that I still got in in preseason game 1 then fake injury to chill the rest of training camp move"...well done sir.
|
Ok. That's great news.
|
Charles doesn't need preseason anyways. Lets hope a backup emerges as a result.
|
Has his other testicle descended yet? Breaking news?

Hopefully it's not a lis franc kind of thing.

I hope the MRI comes up negative too. Would be real shitty if he has a nagging soft tissue injury. :(

No more Pre season for this dude. Sit sir. Don't even let him suit up.
Gotta have him healthy. |
Charles is a tough mofo. He will be OK.

God I hate Twitter
#****youdie |
Mother of **** I hate preseason
|
Well, I'm not relaxing just yet. I'd rather it was a twisted ankle than a foot injury. Those spook me.
Yeah, and people? The word you want is reckless. No W. Unless a new CP lexicon item has gotten by me. |
The Twitter feed in the Training Camp thread just showed a tweet that said Jamaal walked to the cart then rode in the front seat. He said players often ride in the cart to avoid a large hill.
Still scary but much better than actually being carted off the field. |

Lot's of season-stalling/ending injuries have started as foot sprains. I wouldn't exhale just yet. |

X-rays on Jamaal Charles’ foot negative, Chiefs call it a strain Posted by Josh Alper on August 12, 2013, 12:16 PM EDT The Chiefs got a scare on Monday when running back Jamaal Charles needed to be carted off the field at practice after an injury, but it looks like serious injury was averted. According to several reporters who were in attendance at Chiefs practice, coach Andy Reid said that x-rays on Charles’ foot were negative. There’s no word about other tests that might be performed to assess the extent of the injury, which Reid referred to as a strain, nor was there any discussion of a timetable for a return to action. Should there be no further negative developments upon further evaluation, it doesn’t sound like the kind of injury that will keep Charles out of the lineup for an extended period. Whether that means that he’s well enough to play in this week’s preseason game remains to be seen, although caution will almost certainly be exercised with a player whose ability to make plays in the open field will be one of the focal points of the team’s offense this season |
Deja Vu all over again...
only we would need to lose our best defensive player and a TE or something too... maybe Alex Smith will get a kidney removed or something just to complete the curse |

A lisfranc injury can involve a break, but it doesn't have to. The lisfranc region is that spot at the middle/top of your foot where all those little bones hook together. My recollection is that Garrison Hurst broke those bones; his was a 'break' style of lisfranc injury. But Darren McFadden? His was a sprain. MJD? He never broke anything either. Matt Spaeth just went down 8-10 weeks with a lisfranc sprain. "Foot sprain" is a plenty spooky diagnosis, folks. |
Plantar fascitis?
|
hate injuries to the feet ... almost always turn out worse than originally thought
sit Charles until the final preseason game we need to develop our backups anyway |
Its cool because a real QB like alex doesnt need his best weapon
I mean "no excuses" right? |

This gives me an absolutely horrendous feeling in the pit of my stomach... There must be a God, because the mfer absolutely hates the Chiefs... Oh, and sorry in advance to all the people I've offended by calling the imaginary Guy In The Sky a mfer. |
I'm sure he'll be fine. But if not we might need to call-up Priest (or call one) or Larry...
|
Let Charles rest this week and let knile get reps with the ones

All Chiefs fandom breathe a sigh of relief.

would rather make Draughn the #1 for the week.
put Charles in the workout pool and other low,low impact workouts they should overreact imo and shut him down for at least a week |

Im also sure that Aaron Rodgers, isn't going to miss Greg Jennings Donald Driver, or Jordy Nelson. And Kaep in no way shape or form is going to miss Crabtree. lol. Come on man. Its not like the Chiefs had a plethora of weapons to begin with. |

This is good news if you ask me, that means more preseason games that he won't have to play in. I fucking hate the preseason.

Droughns...ugh. Again with this guy.
Seriously, Droughns isn't an NFL runningback. I'd rather see Gray get his carries; at least that guy has some potential. |

A couple of fumbles, and boom, confidence shot..... |

Works for me and easier to spell. "Fumble is promoted to #1 for the next couple of weeks with Suck backing him up." Yeah, that kinda rolls off the tongue. I think I'll go with that for a bit. |

But Charles should definitely be done for a good week or two. I'm kind of anxious to see what Knile is capable of. He kind of has that running back name that says to me he can get 1,500+ yards. Knile Davis, I'm actually kind of glad we drafted him now. |

It's all about the name. Who knew? |
I dont have a problem with draughn. Id prefer cyrus or knile as a #2, but he runs hard.

Its so awesome being a chiefs fan
The only thing I could think of to top it would be being a flagellant http://my_sarisari_store.typepad.com...gellant_01.jpg |

ESPN's @AdamSchefter reported #Chiefs are "privately" concerned about Jamaal Charles' foot. "Hoping for the best but bracing for the worst." |
