MRI on Patriots QB Tom Brady's knee was negative and he now is considered day to day, per ESPN source with knowledge of injury.

So basically Brady was just being a little bitch. Typical.

It's one of those movies that's even better the second time you view it. I caught things...little nuances...that I didn't catch the first time. For example, you can barely hear Brady utter a little "Argh" when he goes down. It adds an extra layer of excitement to the film. Bravo to whoever directed this.

That would have sucked if he went down. The Pats would lose out, get pick one and be dominating again in a year. (See the Colts.)

Not unless you think Clowney can have the same impact on games as Andrew Luck.

At most he had one teammate helping him as he hobbled along. He definitely wasn't carried off.

I want to say he went off under his own power, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, having good teams that can never get past the Patriots must have been VERY frustrating to you. You and the Steelers should form some kind of mutual "Pity the Pathetic Patriots' Patsies" society or something...

Of course, the Steelers broke through and won some SBs lately, unlike...well, enough, you get the point.

You haven't won jack shit since the cheating scandals surfaced, where the tapes were destroyed so no one could really see the extent of the cheating. Shame on you.

In December 2001, the Broncos were fined $968,000 and lost a third-round pick in the 2002 draft for violations reportedly relating to $29 million in deferred payments to quarterback John Elway and running back Terrell Davis.

On Thursday, the league announced that the Broncos have been fined $950,000 and will lose a third-round selection in next year's draft for circumventing the salary cap between 1996 and '98.

This set of violations, the league said, was related both to agreements between the team and "several" unidentified players to defer salary payments with interest and to a 1997 agreement between the club and a former player to not waive the player prior to a certain date. "Both types of agreements raised salary cap accounting issues," the league said.

That's why Brian Habib, Gary Zimmerman and Mark Schlereth had Vaseline on their arms during Sunday's AFC divisional playoff victory in frigid Kansas City, coach Mike Shanahan insisted yesterday.

Nevertheless, the NFL fined the three offensive linemen $5,000 apiece yesterday for using a foreign substance, which can make it harder for defenders to get a grip.

Massachusetts Evacuated To Prevent Any Contact With Tom Brady’s Knee

Sports News in BriefSportsNFL Football ISSUE 49•33 • Aug 15, 2013

BOSTON—Following an alarming episode in which New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady suffered a mild sprain to his left knee, government officials confirmed Thursday that Massachusetts has been evacuated in order to prevent the state’s populace from having any contact with the star athlete’s knee. “Though we’ve received word that Brady’s MRI showed no structural damage, as a precautionary measure, I have issued an executive order mandating that every man, woman, and child currently living in the state disperse immediately so as to avoid any chance of aggravating his injury,” said Governor Deval Patrick, urging Massachusetts’ 6.6 million inhabitants to seek temporary residence in any one of the neighboring states pending further instruction. “While these measures may pose a minor inconvenience to our citizenry, it is of utmost importance that we do everything in our power to ensure that Brady enjoys a complete, trouble-free recovery and is back at full strength by Week 1. You really can’t be too careful with this sort of thing.” Patrick added that as Brady recuperates, the Patriots quarterback should feel free to use any of the state’s vacated houses and abandoned possessions as he sees fit.

Yup.. That's what Barry and A-Rod are clinging too, they never did it in the dugout!

I'm just jealous! I wish the folks on our teams cared enough to juice and cheat for the sake of their city, I really believe we were the only ones not...

We'll see what your new regime brings. Know you hate him but Elway was one of the greatest ever and it was a joy to watch him. No juice, just a cannon and smarts.

Shouldn't that read "just a cannon then smarts..."

Did he ever have them both? When his arm was truly terrifying, he never struck me as being a cerebral passer by any stretch. He was mostly a mad gunner.

But as his arm started to fail him, the Elway of the mid-late 90s had developed into a pretty smart QB.

You saw him play. All qbs develop. But the guy was a leader from jump, made all the right reads, Stanford degree, and could laser it 40 yards across his body. If you didn't hate him you'd admit you'd have loved to have him.
