if you made a club nintendo account and linked it to your wiiu before you bought the game, then your code will be emailed too you. If you bought the game first then did the club nintendo thing, you ****ed up and have to email Nintendo from the club nintendo website and they will fix it for you, thats what i did.

Okay, honest opinion guys. I have been making fun of the Wii U since it launched, but these deals might put me over the edge:

Is that worth the $275?

Sure i guess. All depends on how much you end up playing. Like ive mentioned, its a very underrated system. It got knocked on because it had very few games at launch and Nintendo has been slow getting them out since.


I like it mostly because its family friendly with good family games. I imagine if i was a young, single guy id prefer the XBoX 1 or PS4.

IMO its much better that than original Wii. Original Wii was a huge hit because of the fun controller gimmick, but once everyone realized there were only a few really great games, it started to sit in the corner and collect dust.

I know the Wii "won" the last generation, but I have to wonder if that is what happened to most of those console sales. I know mine did. Hell, my mom's friend went out and bought Wii Fit for her Wii and it called her overweight. She took it back to the store and never played Wii again. Every game boiled down to "who can do a jerk off motion best." Even games like Mario Kart Wii and excitetruck made me want to just control them normally.

Thats a hell of a deal. I would get it in a heartbeat. Mario Kart is so much fun, especially online, but can be frustrating, because you get ping ponged all over the place. lol Online is the best part of Mario Kart. Its SOO much fun. A few nights i stood up til like 5am playing online. lol

They may not have a huge library of games, but the games they do have are all top notch games.

They are expected to show the next Zelda on Tuesday; if it looks superb I will definitely pick up a wii u.

That $270 for a 2 player wii u w/ mario kart 8 looks better and better.

target offering buy 2 get 1 free for wii u games. Also get a Wii U console with mario bros U and Luigi U for $275. I still think the $200 console from nintendo is the better deal.

From what I have seen its. Mario Kart 8. Plus u get a free game with that so u get 4 games total. So either get pikman 3 wonderful 101, windwaker HD. And super Mario 3D World

Nintendo sold nearly 3 million copies of Mario Kart 8, but still lost $97 million last quarter. ouch.

That sucks. It's too bad really. It's a solid system with some great family games.

Just too much competition nowadays with the way prices have gone up and up with these console systems and games. Someone has to suffer.

My niece brought her WiiU on family vacation. It really is a fun system, and the controller is pretty awesome for kids as far as navigating between games and netflix and such. We had a great time playing Super Mario Bros on it. When someone is on the WiiU controller making blocks, it gets pretty insane.

Not enough attractiveness from 3rd party developers (majors, at least) is really hurting/killing the brand. They can only ride the coat tails of the likes of Mario and Zelda for so long. I wonder what a Zelda game would feel like on a different console?

nintendo made too much money on the Wii to ever consider not being a console maker. The Wii U 2: Electric Boogaloo would have to flop even harder for them to consider getting out of the console business.

the nintendo website you can get the refurbished one which are basically brand new from what everyone says and its like 199 deal! Get the essential games and everyone will have a blast.

WiiU is really a great console. It just doesnt have the super hardcore multi platform games.

messing around with my gamecube emulator; it is an incredibly under rated console.


as for picking up a wii u. snag it directly from nintendo.com. people have done unboxing on reddit. it is brand new. crazy good warranty like a new one.

Well I finally broke down and bought one. Can I just say the registration stuff is a mess. Only wireless internet? That update took forever. So I had to register once on the console and once for club nintendo? then tie them together? Nintendo is clueless about synergy.

WiiU gets most of my playtime on games these days! I just got ZombieU. I know its pretty much a launch system game, but i heard its pretty good.

Nintendo first party games are all top notch games. Its like whatever they put their hands on as far as games go are just pure gold.

So my wife was complaining that her Zoomba was freezing and beeping at her. I turned off the WiiU's wifi and that solved the problem. Apparently, Nintendo's crappy online service will lock up games if they do not ping right.

Yeah. I really love gamecube. I rebought it this year and still played games on them. The age shows a bit, but I loved MVP baseball 2005 on that thing.

I'll have to try it. The boy and I really like the Pikmin coop game there.

There's like 30 levels. Once you've mastered and won all 30, you can go back and try to get "Master Rank", which means killing all the aliens in 2 minutes or less, which is pretty difficult.

I think it's really fun and it's definitely my favorite in that title.

Man do I wish the ps2 servers for MVP baseball were still up; that is the greatest baseball game ever made.

I play poker for some weird reason on gamecube. I can play computer for long periods of times not worring about leaving it on. I play Day of Recogning 2 the wrasslin game. The sims as well.
